Playing a Glockenspiel Unit 1 16 Music Lessons Suitable for pupils in Years 5 and 6 These units are not mac-friendly. You don’t have to have a musical background to teach your class how to play musical instruments! This unit of 16 practical music lessons, teaches pupils how to play and perform, using glockenspiels. Pupils learn; • How to play the glockenspiel correctly • How to read and play a variety of tunes and songs using a lettered score • How to perform in two, three and four parts • About the percussion family, tuned and untuned instruments and a range of musical terms and signs These resources will support your delivery of the Model Music Curriculum 2021. The musical activities in this pack focus on Listening and Performing. The activities also aid the development of a range of wider skills including focus, team-work, coordination and confidence. You do not need a musical background to deliver this unit. Sound and Silence – Graphic Score One Unit of Four Music Lessons . Suitable for Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students. Can we hear silence? Is there such a thing as silence? What is the difference between sound and silence? What’s the difference between listening and hearing? This unit asks students to consider and discuss these questions. It is about clarity - making sure what you say is heard and comprehended correctly. The most commonly known and used diction exercises are tongue twisters. These 100 tongue twisters will develop children’s listening skills and improve alliteration, pronunciation, diction and vocal technique.
