This lesson looks at what the development gap is, the map that was created to show the development gap and the different indicators that we look at to measure development.

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 5- Lesson 9 and 10- The Tropical Rainforest Characteristics and
These are the 9th and 10th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
The 9th lesson looks at the characteristics of the tropical rainforest. Students look at the climate and vegetation of the rainforest. They practise their exam skills at being able to describe distribution and plotting a climate graph by using a given set of data. All the activities/ tasks are on the powerpoint.
The 10th lesson looks at the processes that occur within the tropical rainforest. Students summarise their understanding by completing the worksheet attached. Those that completed the extension question, then the markscheme for it is also attached.

This lesson is the 8th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.

This lesson is the 13th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at Gwynt y Môr offshore wind far. Pupils research into the wind far and answer the summarising knowledge questions which helps them to do exam practise. The basic information is also on the powerpoint.

This lesson is the 14th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how humans are impacting the tropical rainforest. Pupils learn this through an example of the Amazon Rainforest and pupils look at the positives and negatives of human activity.

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 5- Lesson 16- Rainforest Sustainable Management
This lesson is the 16th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at different strategies that can be used to sustainably manage the rainforest. The 10 minutes on sheet is the starter to get pupils thinking about what they have learnt already about rainforests by recapping over previous lessons worth of work. The idea for the sheet came from the marvelous Jen Monk (@Jennnnnn_x). The keep it, bin it, build it sheet came from the brilliant Paul (@ploguey).
The lesson contains exam practise with the marking sheet so you can easily mark students work and students can get use to a consistent and easy marking sheet.

This lesson is the fifth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks continuing counter-urbanisation by pupils feedback their research to the class (and if needed the slides to go through the information- if you want to) and looking at commuting- the factors that has lead to an increase and decrease, a range of exam questions and skills based questions and homework on a case study for Cardiff.

This lesson is the forth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at what counter-urbanisation is and the reasons for it. It looks at the impacts of it and students have to categorise these. Students also look at the case study on counter-urbanisation of Llantwit Major and will have to complete the fact file worksheet (*above)

This lesson is the 10th lesson in the sixth theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the North-South Divide that exists within the UK. It looks at the social and economic reasons for it and the effects of the divide. The lesson also covers the case study of deindustrialisation of Sheffield.
This lesson also contains an assessed homework which is used to help students revise for their test but also used as another form of assessment. The markscheme is detailed which will help you as teachers to be able to mark the assessed homework with ease.

This is week 1 of the new skills and content based questions that will help to refine pupils exam technique and help to identify any gaps in their knowledge for the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas Specification A course.
Most of the questions will either be from past papers, exam practise questions from the revision guide or questions from other sources.
I will over the next forthcoming weeks upload multiple sheets that will cover both paper 1 and paper 2, these will hopefully help your pupils in getting to grip with the basics of the exam
