Edexcel English Language Specification (also attached) and grade boundaries from 3-6, which can be altered easily to accommodate HA or LA pupils. Objectives as below (fits some of AO2/AO4 criteria too).
Objectives AO1:
Grade 3: Identify a selection of persuasive language techniques.
Grade 4: Make some comment on a persuasive language technique.
Grade 5: Discuss the effect of a selection of persuasive language techniques.
Grade 6: Discuss in detail the effect of a selection of persuasive language techniques on the reader and how this fits the purpose of the text.

A full lesson to encourage pupils to investigate how staging effects the audiences perception of events. Contains a starter to be completed after reading Act 1, Scene 1. Pupils then complete a Jigsaw activity in groups or individually to investigate 4 areas of staging. Followed by independent directed writing. Uses 1-9 criteria.
Lesson viewed by SLT and deemed 'Outstanding'.
A lesson (via presentation) and scaffolded worksheet ( to support lower ability) which sets up a writing task where pupils introduce themselves and discuss their likes and dislike, hobbies and aspirations.
I have used this as both a back up cover lesson and also an introductory lesson to my new classes.
A full lesson and marking criteria (suitable for students) with 1-9 scale. Lesson aimed at 3-7 range, but could very easily be adapted.
