(9/9) Relationship, Sex and Health Education (RSHE KS3) Contraception

(1)
A new unit of work using the PSHE association mapping structure for the new 2020 Relationship, Sex and Health Education area. This unit is aimed at Year 7. But suitable for any KS3 group. Lesson 9 finishes with basic contraception. As this unit is aimed at Year 7 this lesson is very light and factual regarding what contraception is used for and to help them consider, in the future, with method is right for them. There is a strong emphasis on the use of condoms, regardless of the other methods.

BTEC Nationals: Unit 4: Practice Run Through

BTEC Nationals, Level 3, Health and Social Care: Unit 4 Controlled Assessment. Please leave a review! You will need to log onto Pearson and download the Jan 2020 release material to support this download. The first powerpoint supports students in how to do their research and set up their notes. I have put a small time frame in there for my classes. This is a practice run through so students have less time than the actual controlled assessment. There is then a feedback powerpoint which uses the examiners report to provide sample answers that show 2 nearly perfect answers and 2 answers that I then intend on live writing/modelling based on their responses from their practice (hoping their responses are good enough to use as future model answers!) Please leave feedback as this took me a very long time to put together!

Sheet that allows you to personalise the badge/header for your school, and highlight the bands to provide feedback. Pearson PDF doesn’t allow for editing, and I found the mark grids going over two pages irritating! So I have retyped it out (couldn’t copy and paste!) Free Resource so please leave feedback :) All lesson Resources for Component 2 can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12903966

BTEC Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 Human Lifespan Development PSA. I have typed the criteria into a document, and added a grid/space for the scores with space for a school logo/badge. We will use this document to highlight where students have met the criteria, and give this back to the students during a resubmission. It may save you some time, if your school wants you to have personalised documents. Bundled resources for Component 1 can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12898517

AQA Social Stratification- Social Mobility (7/15)

Planned for 9-1 New Specification The lesson is intended to be a research and group presentation lesson but I have included the PDF that they would search for, and they could just present using paper and speeches rather than using ICT. Depends on your group and resources that are available. Great lesson to get them to develop presentation skills, but also develops numeracy skills.

AQA Families OLD SPEC

My old specification lesson resources for the families unit. They are a great set of resources that I am tweaking and adapting for the new spec, but a (cheap) starting point for non-specialists/trainees.
