Pupils must colour code each item correctly matching up the nutrient, use in the body with what are the good sources of this. This is the first of many new resources that we will be uploading over the next few months in preparation for the NEW WJEC GCSE Specification that is due to commence in September. an introduction lesson for WJEC GCSE pupils informing them of what the Short Course will entail. This lesson is an overview of Unit 1. We have added a second religion of Judaism. However, we have left the resource partially editable so that you can add your own religion of choice should you wish to do so. NB This lesson can be used with year 9 pupils as we are aware that more and more schools are opting for a 3 year GCSE course. You can either print off the A4 sheet and laminate with the word already printed onto it or as we do, print off a blank template, laminate it and stick a different word on it each week. This resource is based on a standard deck of 52 playing cards. For this resource you require a deck of cards. You should then give every child in your class a card and use the random generator to select a card and the person with the chosen card gets asked a question during the lesson. There is a selection of options for you to use. Shuffled cards with music, Shuffled cards without music and an un-shuffled deck. Each of the options is presented in two different ways for you to use. You can copy and paste the playing cards on the next slide into any presentation you wish or use the slide as a standalone resource. Emoji Selector-Interactive This can be used for any activity. Choose a topic, spin the selector and the pupils have to volunteer their responses based on the emojis that are randomly selected. This is a really fun AFL Activity! Teacher Instructions: You can copy and paste the Emoji selector slide into any presentation you wish or use the slide as a standalone resource. Click on the spin button to start the selector and the stop button to stop it. You can reset the selector at any time to restart the process. Class Instructions: The Emoji Selector will generate three emotions. You must press ‘spin’ to start the selector and ‘stop’ to stop it spinning.
