Introductory lesson to Medicine through time, c.1250-present Includes activities that deals with each period, factors affecting the development of medicine and chronology tasks.

A3 sheet that details the differences between the political right and left. It then links to the main political parties in Weimar Germany and covers the major uprisings and rebellions during the early years of the Weimar Republic. I find it excellent to laminate this sheet and leave it on the desk as students work through the Weimar Republic, using the display as a reference sheet.

Covers germ theory and changing ideas about the causes of disease and illness in the 18th and 19th centuries. Essay planning sheet that assesses the significance of germ theory, linking it to prevention's and treatments.

Detailed lesson that covers chapter 1.1 for the new Edexcel GCSE (9-1) specification on British America, 1713-1783. This is an extremely lengthy and detailed chapter so I have divided the lesson into three parts: 1. Developments in colonial expansion and immigration 2. Economic developments 3. Piracy One detailed PPT and numerous card-sorts, worksheets and information sheets, alongside a glossary and guide on how to answer questions for the British America exam.

Detailed lesson that corresponds to Chapter 1.3 of the Pearson Edexcel GCSE 9-1 textbook. Although this textbook is necessary for some of the tasks, the Hodder book should have the same content, although the page numbers will be different. There are numerous activities and exam guidance within this lesson. It is a very long and complex chapter, dealing with numerous pieces of legislation, customs duties and economic impacts that introduces some complex terminology. I would advise spending 3-4 classes on this chapter and going slow. There will be a lot of explaining to do, particularly with regards to the section on customs revenue. These lessons are planned using the Pearson textbook, although the textbook is not necessary in order to complete the activities.
