Over the years I have taught English, Maths, PSHE, Film Studies, Media Studies as well as Drama. As a result of teaching many subjects I have spent hours creating schemes and resources so I am hoping this will save you a lot of time. I hope it does.
I also have many years experience as a Pastoral Leader / SEN Teacher meaning I also have resources to support effective behaviour management, safeguarding and Special Educational Needs.

This unit of work consists of six hour long workshops. Each workshop has an objective, and suggested activities. Some of the objectives include:
To consider how different interpretations of role can alter the dramatic impact on audience
To develop insight into the personal and moral dilemmas addressed within the play#
There is an accompanying power point to support the unit of work.
This spontaneous improvisation scheme of work contains three weeks worth of lessons (3 lessons per week). The scheme of work has suggested activities, lesson objectives, learning outcomes, homework, suggested open and closed questions and extension activities.
There are three 50 minute number lessons included in this lesson plan. Students will complete scavenger hunts for prime and factor numbers, and there are differentiated bronze, silver and gold questions for rounding, multiplication and division. There are also exam style questions for the multiplication and division section of the lesson.
The lesson plan includes lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities and homework.
The detailed power point supports the lesson plan.
There are two games included in this resource. The first game of bingo involves students writing down a particular angle from the options on the slide, the teacher then asks questions like "What is the number of a right angle?". All teacher questions are also included in the power point. The second game of bingo is where three angles in a triangle are displayed, and students have to work out what the missing angle is and see if it matches the answer they have written on their bingo card..
This is a six week scheme of work where each week contains three one hour lessons. The structure of the scheme of work is:
Week One - Plot
Week Two - Character
Week Three - Theme
Week Four - Directing Scenes
Week Five - Duologue and Monologue
Week Six - Costume / Live Performance Review / Unseen Scene
There is an accompanying power point for the scheme of work. There are some pictures you will need to source yourself as for copyright reasons I am unable to include. These are a picture of the play front cover, a picture of Malala Yousafzai and a picture of women’s dress in 1896. There are also resources included that are referenced in the scheme.
These differentiated question cards can be used by KS3 and KS4 Drama students when watching pieces of drama. The cards are differentiated for higher, middle and lower ability students within your group.
Hand the cards to students prior to watching the performance and they need to identify elements of the performance that will enable them to answer the question.
There are five KS3 drama cover lessons included, as well as a word search starter that can be used as a bell activity for any cover lesson.
The soap characters and chat show lesson is a lesson plan containing learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, suggested open and closed questions, homework and extended activities.
The pantomime lesson is a lesson plan containing learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, suggested open and closed questions as well as reference to personal, learning and thinking skills.
The "How should a play end" and "Hamlet Cover" contains learning objectives and suggested activities.
The Black History drama cover involves students researching influential figures, and then students becoming those characters in an original setting. You will need to provide the information about these figures from the internet. The lesson contains objectives and suggested activities.
This lesson focuses primarily on decimals and percentages but the bell activity is a card sort where students need to identify which fraction, decimal and percentage has the same value.
The lesson plan contains learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities (including extension tasks) and suggested closed and open questions.
The power point supports the lesson plan and includes introducing students to the methodology required to complete the tasks set.
The sale challenge task is also included which enables students to see the importance of mathematics in real life situations where price reductions can be calculated.
All three resources contain six one hour drama workshops each. There are two script sets of workshops (DNA and The Woman in Black) and there is a devised workshop where students will question if it is socially and morally right to discriminate.
Included in this bundle are:
Live Performance Review scheme of work, separate live performance review lesson plan, power point and resources as well as a student notes workbook when attending a live performance.
The only thing missing in each resource are the pictures you will be reviewing. These will need to be uploaded prior to delivery. However, this means the resource is adaptable and can be used every time you are delivering a live review topic.
12 assemblies included covering:
Anti-Bullying
Homework
Respect
Reflection
British Values
Behaviour Choices
Promoting positive mental health
Promoting Acceptance
Inappropriate and Kind Words
The theme of anti-bullying week 2020 is “United Against Bullying”.
This assembly looks at discrimination and bullying, actions we can take to prevent bullying, character education and how positive outcomes can be achieved when we unite together.
Slide 11 has been left blank for you to include initiatives your school has done to unite together in achieving a positive goal.
There are some notes under some slides.
This angles lesson is created to introduce students to angles within a triangle, and how these vary according to whether it is an isosceles, scalene or equilateral triangle. Students are also encouraged to consider the similarities and differences of these different triangles.
There is one section where you will need to insert your own triangle angles questions based on what you use within school. I am unable to do this due to copyright reasons.
The lesson starts with a card sort of general angles, a card sort I use at the start of every angles lesson as a bell activity, and build it into a competition as to who can complete it the quickest.
This card sort contains the names of angles and has a brief description of the angle.
This student resource can be taken to a live performance in order for students to take notes. There are key words which will support performance and production roles, and there are examples from "The Woman in Black".
This unit of work looks at the genre of pantomime and enables students to look at pantomime conventions, characterisation, dialogue and production values. It can be used as a KS3 scheme of work, or for any devised unit at KS4.
The unit of work contains lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested class and homework activities and suggested open and closed questions.
There are also a selection of resources included.
This power point can be used when training NQTs / new staff teaching S.E.N.D groups, or for the whole staff to consider how to differentiate for lower ability students.
A complete scheme of work with learning objectives, learning outcomes, closed and open question suggestions and stimuli included. The power point supports the scheme of work with all resources included in the power point. It was written for the old Edexcel Drama specification and can be easily adapted for Component One of the new specification. I am unable to include the pictures for copyright reasons.
A scheme of work written for Unit 2 (Old Edexcel Syllabus) but can be adapted for Component 2 of the new syllabus. This scheme of work contains learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, open and closed question suggestions and homework. The accompanying power point supports the scheme of work. I have also included the challenge cards used for lesson 6. For copyright reasons, I have been unable to include the pictures.
This black History scheme of work was written to be delivered to year 8, but it can be delivered to any KS3 Drama group.
The scheme of work includes lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested tasks and activities, homework tasks as well as open and closed question suggestions.
The work book contains all activities mentioned in the scheme and can either be used as a class based work book or a homework book.
There are also a variety of bell activities to ensure students are immediately engaged, as well as an assessment planning sheet.
This is an example of challenge cards I have created to ensure all students are working and being challenged whilst others may still be working on the task on screen.
