OCR Physics Magnetic flux density

(0)
This is a complete lesson covering sections 6.3.1 e and f of the OCR Physics specification- magnetic fields. It goes through how to calculate magnetic flux density both with current perpendicular to the magnetic field as well as at an angle (sin θ). It also shows how to measure magnetic flux density as well as taking students through a worked example of the practical results. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end All answers are included I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets

OCR Physics gravitational field

(0)
A complete lesson covering section 5.4.1 a- e of the OCR Physics specification- gravitational fields It includes a starter, full notes, various independent activities and a differentiated summary at the end The lesson covers gravitational fields, the law of gravitation and calculating gravitational field strength All answers included I aim to reduce photocopying so all resources are within the PPT (31 slides in total)

OCR Physics stellar spectrum, radiation + luminosity

(0)
A complete lesson covering sections 5.5.1e and 5.5.3 a-k of the OCR Physics specification- stellar radiation and luminosity and stellar spectrum. It starts by looking at the way that objects produce electromagnetic radiation and the link to temperature. It then looks at Wien’s displacement law and Stefan’s law including calculations and comparisons of luminosity and temperature. It then move son to look at spectra and how electrons produce photons of light after being excited. It then closes by looking at the difference between emission and absorption spectrum and how they can be sued to analyse stars. Includes lots of independent activities All answer included I aim to reduce photocopying so all resources are in the PPT- 49 slides in total

Using the specific heat capacity equation

(0)
A complete lesson teaching students how to use the specific heat capacity equation. It starts by posing a number of questions about pairs of substances being heated leading students to the idea that it relies on the mass of the substance, the type of substance and the amount of energy provided. It the goes through how to use the equation following the I do, we do, you do model. The calculations are set out using the model I introduced at my school which is designed to support students with rearranging the more difficult equations The lesson includes a starter, full notes, worked examples and independent student activities. All answers provided

AQA trilogy science revision booklets

(0)
A set of 6 revision booklets aimed at supporting students who should be getting grade 7 +. Each booklet contains a revision checklist as well as notes, questions and hints and tips for the relevant required practical activities. Most importantly each booklet also contains around 100 marks of exam questions aimed at grade 7 and above. All the answers are also provided. The booklets contain some free resources from other TES authors that have been adapted

OCR Physics magnetic field

This is a complete lesson covering sections 6.3.1 a -d of the OCR Physics specification- magnetic fields. It goes through how to show the magnetic field round long straight conductors, flat coils, a solenoid and bar magnets. It shows how to use Flemming’s left hand rule to predict the direction of a force created when a current runs perpendicular to a magnetic field. The lesson includes a starter, full notes, various student led activities and a differentiated summary at the end All answers are included I actively try to reduce photocopying, so all of the lesson resources are within the PowerPoint rather than as extra sheets

AQA P6 The big (ish) online learning waves quiz

(1)
A PowerPoint quiz covering the specification points from AQA Trilogy Physics module 6- waves Designed for use in an online lesson but could be used as home schooling or even in a face to face lesson. All answers provided
AQA Trilogy Forces Online learning project

AQA Trilogy Forces Online learning project

(0)
An online learning project covering the first four points of the AQA Trilogy Physics topic forces. Covers scalars and vectors, resultant forces, work done and the spring constant Answers included as a separate document Works well with the videos from the Oak national academy
AQA GCSE Physics revision retrieval activities

AQA GCSE Physics revision retrieval activities

(0)
A set of physics revision or retrieval activities with answers. Could be used as homework tasks / starter Each one comprises a range of 20 questions covering topics in AQA Physics paper 1 When completing students tick the relevant box whether they were able to answer on what they remember (brain) or by using a textbook or revision guide (book). Teachers can then use this to target additional activities. Later activities repeat questions which again adds to the retrieval aspect of the tasks
