Pirate Treasure Hunt- Solving 2 step equations
Arrgggghhh Matey! Treasure hunting time! Pupils need to work out the answers to questions linked to squares on a pirate map. Certain answers will give the location of squares containing treasure. The more treasures they find the better.
This could be done as a team or timed activity. There are 100 questions so it may be a little tough for pupils to complete this individually.

Zombie Data Project
For all of the zombie fans in your class! This resource contains data on 500 zombies at a research facility. Pupils must come up with a hypothesis and test it, perfect practise for GCSE statistics coursework or just revision on sampling or different types of charts.
The data is more than simply randomly generated numbers and there are links between the variables for eagle eyed pupils to discover, however they may not always be watch you may expect! There is also a simply little PowerPoint to accompany the data

Random numeracy Sheets
A set of 100 sheets on the "basic" numeracy skills, or at least the ones I would want all my pupils to have. THe sheets and most the answers generate automatically, either print the first sheet off each day or create a booklet. This could work brilliantly as once a day booklet to improve numeracy skills of SEN pupils. Simply print of all of the sheets, design a school specific front page and send home.

A board game where pupils have to answer question on percentage increase / decrease and reverse percentage.

Monkey Data Project
THe excel file contains information on 500 monkeys from a fictitious newly discovered species.
Pupils task is to come up with a hypothesis and test it. Does monkeys favourite fruit change as they age? Is the length of a monkeys tail related to it's height or its gender? What is the main factor in how many offspring a monkey will have?
The data here is not completely random and there are connections and correlations to be discovered, some of them quite unusual. Great for budding Zoologists or pupils preparing for GCSE stats coursework.
