A VERY HAUNTING EXPERIENCE!!!
Inside this PACKAGE are 2O, “fun and exciting” Halloween games and activities for PE or classroom teachers and are designed for use with a wide range of ages for students in grades Kindergarten through 6th. The PE Halloween Games and Activities are a “diverse” grouping of games and activities that range from short tag game “warm ups” to full lesson plans and large group games. Each activity and game can be implemented in a gymnasium or a large empty classroom space using typical PE equipment with a few extra “Halloweeny” additions to keep it “SPOOKTACULAR!”
The games and activities were developed to address the SHAPE National PE Standards and will complement and reinforce many of the concepts that a typical PE teacher would use throughout the school year. These concepts include the cardiovascular and muscular fitness, agility, speed, listening, following directions, cooperation and sportsmanship. The PE Halloween Games and Activities are ideal to implement during the weeks leading up to Halloween. They will naturally spark student excitement during this “hauntingly” time of the year by using traditional Halloween-related themes and icons such as ghost, witches, bats, black cats, monsters, pumpkins, zombies etc.
Students will love the activities and games and they will get their heart rates up and not even know they are getting a great workout because they will be having so much fun. These activities are “tried and true” and students will ask for them around Halloween every year. They can be used with up to 3 classes at the same time or as little as 1 small class. They are geared towards elementary-aged students, however they have used them with middle and high school students and they love them too!
YOU'LL HAVE A SCARY GOOD TIME!!!
The Halloween PE Stations are 20 fun filled, “SPOOKY” cards that you can use in your school gymnasium or can be modified and performed in a smaller space such as a classroom or empty cafeteria. Each movement card provides a locomotor or manipulative-skill activity which includes a brief instructional direction and a Halloween graphic that depicts the activity. Full directions for implementing the activities are also included. Look for ghosts, spiders, bats, pumpkins and witches moving and playing in all kinds of fun ways.
The activities are SHAPE AMERICA National standards-based and there are plenty of activities for you to choose from which allows the students to take part in the stations during multiple class periods if necessary. Each movement card provides a Halloween activity that can be performed with typical PE equipment.
These Halloween Movement Stations are ideal for a physical education or classroom teacher to use in the weeks leading up to Halloween as a “Brain Break” or to reinforce movement concepts, manipulative skills, cooperation and physical fitness. These stations were created to be “FUN” and your students will ask you to bring them out during the Halloween season, year after year.
The Halloween PE Stations were designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade students.
The following printable display signs were created as a visual aid showcasing the 6 principles of exercise training (overload, specificity, progression, reversibility, adaptation and individual differences) and the 4, FITT guidelines (Frequency, Intensity, Time and Type).

The signs provide definitions and examples/extensions of each principle and include exciting graphics that grab the students’ attention. The signs can be displayed in key areas of your gym to be highlighted during instruction. They can easily be used to reinforce the exercise concepts you cover during your class.
The signs will surely be noticed by your students, principals, parents and colleagues and will work as a valuable tool for you to come back to time and time again!

The Physical Education Excel Data Worksheet packet is an editable Excel Document that can be used to enter skill/movement-based data based on physical education rubrics set by an individual PE teacher, school, district or PE curriculum program.
Most PE rubrics today use a 3 or 4 point value system based on observed elements of a movement, skill, behavior or action. The Physical Education Excel Data Worksheet gives teachers the ability to enter these points and have them “averaged” automatically for easy grading purposes at the end of a unit or grading period. Student names can also be imported or copy/pasted from any other Excel files a teacher may have.
The Physical Education Excel Data Worksheet was also designed to work with Cap’n Pete’s Power PE Assessment Series which has a 4 point scale rubric (PE Skill Outcome Scoring Rubric) that is included with each of the 24 Skill Assessment Sheets. The scores from the assessment sheets and subsequent rubric can be input in the excel worksheets.
Included in this Excel Data Worksheet Packet is the following files:
1. Blank Excel Version- Fill in the blanks with your student names and data- This version has 6 tabs at the bottom for 6 classes. Teachers can add or subtract from that number of classes by right clicking the bottom tabs and editing.
2. Example Excel Version- Depicts 3 mock classes with tabs for 1- Locomotor Movement, 2- Manipulative Skills and 3- Other PE Skills. These can be edited too by a teacher by deleting the preset information and adding their own.
3. PE Skill Outcome Scoring Rubric and Example Assessment Series Sheet- Shows an example, 4 point scoring rubric that goes along with Cap'n Pete's Assessment Series Sheets and fits well into the Excel Data Worksheets.
