All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

They are created as TEMPLATES for you to adapt and add your own content. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. If you have any ideas or want me to create specific activities please contact me at : learnanytime@gmail.com

Following on from [appearing pictures with questions] I wondered if the same format could be used to give learners information. I found that the greatest advantage was that once you had a number of facts in the labels with relevant pictures, subsequent facts and pictures could be added and slotted in at the appropriate position. By highlighting specific words, explanations as to their meanings could be given making the understanding of the topic more thorough. This might be an appropriate activity for catch-up, revision or consolidation. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/08/spelling-and-vocabulary-boggle-puzzle.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com I have created another version of the “boggle puzzle” but this time as simple “drop down pictures” for those who don’t need a worksheet version. It also means that if I get some positive feedback to the concept I can just keep adding to the pictures. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/08/spelling-and-vocabulary-boggle-puzzle-10.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com Based on the Parker dice game Boggle. Again I would welcome any feedback, especially as they are so easy to create. The concept is simple, you have a 4 x 4 grid of random letters from which you have to construct 3 + letter words using letters which are next to each other vertically, horizontally and/or diagonally. In the board game you have 3 minutes to find as many words as you can. The learning part is in the scoring. One person reads out their list of words [one at a time] scoring one point for every word which has not been found by anyone else. The second person then reads out their words … and so on. There can be a “winner” each round, points can be given for the longest word found or the most unusual…Through playing this game it may well be that some “spatial” learners do better when seeing the words in a 3D context. The groans of “why didn’t I see that?” and “why didn’t I write down the plural?” will be heard constantly. This maybe suitable as a fun end of lesson activity.
