This resource has been designed to develop children’s physical skills, confidence and self-esteem. The theme of ‘animals’ has been used as a stimulus for movement and provides pupils with opportunities to plan, create, perform and evaluate. Tasks are designed to encourage pupils to follow, lead and copy. Children are encouraged to move as individuals and as part of a group. They are encouraged to express feelings as they move. The resource aims to encourage pupils to learn by being active and and providing interactive opportunities. The resource is packed with games, exercises, poems and activities which have enjoyed (and still do) greatest results from pupils and teachers in the classroom. A CD may be referenced, but you may use your own, appropriate music, as required.
