There are 2 parts to this topic: 7.a) Science as a belief system 7.b) Ideology This is an interactive lesson, with opportunities for paired/group activities. To help students further engage with the topic, there are contemporary videos and reading materials included. There is also exam practice at the end to allow students to apply their knowledge and skills. Lesson objectives: • To understand the difference between the open and closed belief systems. • To understand the different views on science as a belief system.
