This is the forth lesson that I have created and taught to my classes for the WJEC/ EDUQUS Geography A specification for Theme 1. The lesson looks at the human and physical causes of river flooding. This lesson could be stretched over two lessons as for physical causes students learn to read, interpret and create two contrasting climate graphs. This is the second lesson that I have created and taught to my classes for the WJEC/ EDUQUS for the first theme. The lesson looks at the 3 key processes that occur in a river. First the lesson looks at erosion which involves a little experiment to get students hooked, followed by transportation and deposition. A great lesson that I have enjoyed teaching!

This lesson is for the first lesson of Theme 1 which looks at the water cycle, as well as the drainage basin. It's a great lesson to introduce the first Theme to our Geographers and follows the specification guide lines. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching this lesson and hope you will too!
