2 lessons worth of material. Goes though types of correlations, when to use correlational analysis, correlation is not causation. Students can conduct a practical to see if personality score correlates with saliva production. You will need to have lemons for this activity. I was observed with this lesson and received really positive feedback.

I put together this small work booklet to accompany the memory topic. We watched this in the last 3 lessons before Christmas. You will require Disneys Inside Out. Approx 3 lessons, starters and activities to accompany DVD. The students really enjoyed this - you could make more of the review activity by booking the library and making them write it in the style of a newspaper activity.
Lesson goes through the factors that influence conformity. Starts by looking at Asch's study. Students then complete a carousel activity to address the social and dispositional factors influencing conformity. Lesson ends with application question.

Lesson for AS psychology students on standard deviation. Includes mini-plenaries and students rate themselves to direct whether they complete past exam question (AQA A Spec) or watch consolidation video.
Lesson 4: Learning Theory of Attachment. Starter - recap key words associated with learning theories from approaches. In depth look into classical, operant and social learning theories applied to attachment. Supporting and contradictory evidence for evaluation and mini-whiteboard recap to check progress at the end of the lesson.
Created as a revision lesson for Y12 and Y13 psychology students studying the AQA psychology specification. It goes through the importance of statistical testing, type 1 and type 2 errors, levels of measurement, before going through the sign test and chi -square. The sign test is delivered using a chocolate experiment but this can be tweaked and your own results entered.
Use the powerpoint along with a booklet to allow students to make notes and answer exam style questions. It comes with a lesson plan as it was for an observation.

For Y12 and Y13 psychology students. A step by step worksheet on conducting the sign test within research methods. Use in combination with the powerpoint to guide students on the criteria needed to conduct the sign test, calculating the sign value and writing whether the results are significant enough. Also includes practice questions to apply knowledge at the end (approx 1h 30 worth of material). Excellent for non-specialists.
I split the spec into the different units and made a checklist for students use. They can either tick as they move through the course or use it at the end of AS to help inform their revision or if they have missed lessons. Also useful to help inform teacher planning.
