As a Spanish L2 and as an ESL teacher, I have seen my students struggle with sentence writing. For this reason, I have created several GUIDED SENTENCE WRITING graphic organizers. All my students use them, as they progress from simple three word sentences to the most elaborate AP style sentences in the two languages. I have designed them with English and Spanish prompts. I use the English prompts with the lower levels and the Spanish ones with the upper levels or Honors Courses. Use it with any AP course, GCSE or IB Spanish B program.
This Ticket Out the Door template is meant to be used by Spanish 1 teachers who follow the DESCUBRE 1 textbook. It is a great way to end your daily lessons with a summarizing activity that is quick and easy for students to fill out and for teachers to grade. This document is meant to be used as an additional resource to enhance students’ learning and to practice vocabulary. This resource is a sample.
You probably taught that the ending -o is usually used to determine if a noun is masculine, and that the ending -a, determines if the noun is feminine. The following sample exercise takes students to a second level of determining GENDER. Acronyms can help students determine the gender of nouns when then have other endings. All students need to do is check the endings of the words. There will always be exceptions to the rule. Nevertheless, follow this rule of thumb: If words en in MA-L-O-N-E-R-S, they will most likely be masculine. If the end in D-IÓN-Z-A, they will most likely be feminine.
You will get a sample worksheet with exercises. I have another resource on my store with more exercises and a KEY.
Most words that end in MA-L-O-N-E-R-S will require a masculine gender marker: el, un, los, unos.
Most words that end in D-IÓN-Z-A will require a feminine gender marker: la, una, las, unas.
This product gives students of any level, a quick drill on grammatical gender. They have to classify and place a group of words under the masculine or the feminine column.
This product is a breeze to grade, because it already includes a KEY for the teacher.

The paid resource has 5 versions with a Key. Each version has an average of 45-50 words taken from the vocabulary summary list at the end of the Lección. This free sample just gives you a little taste of the paid version. It only has one version with a key and has 19 words.
In this resource, you will find a powerpoint with 75 slides. This powerpoint has all possible combinations for LAS OCUPACIONES from Lección 7 - El mundo del trabajo of the DESCUBRE 2 series: el carpintero, la carpintera, los carpinteros, las carpinteras, etc.
Resources like this one take a lot of time to prepare. For this reason, I save you the time. Just open it, use it and enjoy more free time. Project it on your Smartboard, on the wall or on your TV screen.
You can use the powerpoint with or without the accompanying worksheets. I have made a powerpoint for the teacher, with the KEY and one for the students. Both are exactly the same in content, but I changed the color a little bit so the teacher never gets them mixed up. I also added and Answer Sheet with KEY for the teacher. I have one with all 75 questions and answer choices and other shorter answer sheets with fewer questions: 10, 20, 30 and 40. As the teacher, you can use the powerpoint as you see fit for your students. Since this is Level 2, students need to pay more attention to what the hear. For example, they need to see if the prompt matches the picture in meaning, grammatical gender and number. If the prompt is “los carpinteros”, and there is only one carpintero, then the prompt may not match the picture completely.
If you are a Spanish teacher and are teaching the -ING form in Spanish - EL Presente Progresivo, then this is the resource for you.
This is a resource that takes a lot of time to prepare. I take the time to do it so YOU, don’t have to spend hours (like I do), preparing resources like this.

This resource contains:
A ppt that has 181 slides, including the Cover. It has been coded so that it jumps randomly to different slides. The only downfall is that you may get the same slide more than once. Nevertheless, since there are so man slides to choose from, this may not happen very often.
A student answer sheet with 10 questions at a time.
An Exit Ticket type of form for quick assessments.
Students are given an answer sheet. As they listen to the prompt, they have to choose whether the picture on the slide goes or doesn’t go with the verb they just heard. Then, they need to recognize what Subject Pronoun the conjugation goes with. Finally, they need to recognize if the verb was conjugated in the Present, Presente Progressive or if it is in the infinitive form.
I have used all the verbs of Lección 5, from the Descubre 1 book, BUT, I have also recycled verbs from Lección 2, 3 and 4.
