Double sided A3 sheet for students to use when revising patterns of criminal behaviour and theories and explanations for crime. Page numbers refer to the EDUQAS textbook. Key terms are taken from the specification to help students guide their note taking. Could be used in a one hour lesson- and finish the rest for homework. Could follow this task with planning longer exam answers.

Print this on A3 paper- students can use their notes/ textbook to complete the first side as revision on the theories, and then there are 3 x 9 mark questions for students to plan (taken from past papers). They could write up one of the 9 mark answers too. This could be used in a double lesson.

AQA Psychology- Addiction- Prochaska's Model of Behaviour Change

(0)
Full lesson on Prochaska’s model of behaviour change. Includes a Powerpoint and handout for students to annotate and complete. There are application tasks for students to complete which will allow them to check their understanding of the topic as well as two exam questions. The mark scheme for these is in the powerpoint. I would do this over a double lesson (2 hours) with lots of cold calling and mini whiteboard use to check and consolidate learning. I’ve included a 16m question that students could plan and write- either in the lesson if you have time, or you could set for homework.

Powerpoint and handout for a double lesson (2 hours)- description, application and evaluation of the theory. I’ve included some application questions on the slides that the students can answer on mini white boards as a way to check understanding. An exam question is also included in the handout that students can complete in the lesson, as well as a 16m question on the slide that depending on the time available, students could complete in class or for homework.

Obedience to authority- application of learning

This lesson follows the lesson after students have learnt about Milgram- and reasons for obedience. I used this lesson to consolidate learning about the reasons why people obey- and students can become defense attorneys for the Nazi soldiers. There are 2 versions of the document- one is a differentiated version for LAPs (low ability pupils). Enlarge them on to A3 paper.

A review activity for after you have taught the AS content on biopsychology and most of the A level neuropsychology- before starting biological rhythms. Printed on to A3, students work independently- it’s double sided. Students can do this from memory, or use a textbook/ class notes to help complete it. It would take an hours lesson and students can finish it for homework.

Sociology A Level- Theories of the Family- Revision

Print this sheet on to A3 paper, and students can fill in what they know on each of the theories from memory as revision. When they’ve done all they can from memory- students can use their class notes/ textbooks to complete the rest. You could follow with an exam question.

AQA A Level Sociology- Theories of Crime- Revision sheet

(0)
A revision sheet for students to complete independently on the theories of crime. The second side of the sheet has some hints to help students complete the sheet- it can be done without notes and then students can be encouraged to use notes/ textbook to complete the rest in a different colour. There are 4 example 30 mark exam questions that students can plan/ write to further consolidate their revision of the theories. Would take 1 hour to do the the theories revision, could spend two hours if doing the exam questions too.

AQA Sociology AS- Learning sociologists grid- A3 sheet

I give this to AS students when revising for the exam- I recommend that they learn the names of 25 sociologists that they can refer to in the exam. So this becomes a crib sheet that they make their notes on and use to test themselves and each other.

Revision task to use at the start of the lesson- what do students remember on the families and education topic? Some research methods questions in here too. An answer sheet has been included. Takes approx 30 mins of the lesson including answer feedback. Based on what answers students get wrong you can direct them to focus on that for revision.
