This lesson focuses on the threats to biodiversity and includes a ranking activity. Lesson is fully resourced with a powerpoint and worksheet. An introduction lesson to the basics of ecosystems with a Rainforest focus (although this could easily be adapted for any biome). Lesson involves: Activity around how humans use the environment: student annotate images, Moving onto a discussion of what an ecosystem is and what is contains (including a video to watch) Ecosystem concept map Biome map creation with a set of activities focusing on the Rainforest.
