A reading and writing activity about Christmas in Spanish Read the letter that Marcos wrote his friend José about how he celebrated Christmas last year and how he used to celebrate Christmas as a child. Complete the letter using the preterit and imperfect tenses. The letter has two paragraphs (one preterit and one imperfect). The preterit paragraph has 16 verbs, the imperfect paragraph has 15 verbs (ser is used three times) As a follow up, students can write their own letter on how they celebrated last Christmas and how they used to celebrate Christmas in their childhood. Guidelines are provided Pages 1-2: Letter from Marcos Page 3: Guidelines for the original letter that students can write Pages 4-5: Answer key for the letter from Marcos (Verbs conjugated in the preterit and imperfect tenses) Answer key is included for the letter only. This practice can be used prior to or after the Christmas holiday.
