This is a great value, extremely useful resource to help students with KS3 Maths revision. It contains a glossary of all mathematical terms on the syllabus to help students become familiar with terminology and boost literacy skills, a test on the essential skills they will use in KS3 Maths as well as a handy formulae sheet for areas of 2-D shapes and properties of a circle. The pack also includes teaching/revision sheets for pupils on finding the area and circumference of a circle, ratios (simplifying and dividing an amount into given quantities), 2-D shapes (including Polygons), Triangular Numbers (which covers the properties and finding the nth term of the sequence with worked examples of exam questions). The pack concludes with an investigation teachers can use to show pupils the origin of the triangular numbers sequence.

There is sufficient material in the Powerpoint to cover a whole lesson. This could be used as the lesson before teaching students how to work out the surface area of 3-D shapes. In this resource, the pupils are taught how to recognise 3-D shapes before being scaffolded through how to draw them with worked examples of how to draw cuboids and cubes. There are questions for students to complete. The Powerpoint is quite interactive and there is also a strong cross-curricular link with Literacy.

A set of 6 investigations (complete with teacher notes and worksheets) where students are set a challenging problem and work to find the solution. Each investigation should take up a whole lesson. The first investigation focuses mainly on probability and gets pupils to find the total possible number of half-time scores if given the full-time score, eventually finding a formula connecting the two. The second connects geometry and algebra, getting pupils to generate a formula which links the total possible number of triangles with a given perimeter. The third investigation gets pupils to discover the origins of square numbers whilst the fourth gets students to calculate the optimum rate (using compound interest) at which interest should be added to money in order to achieve maximum interest. The bundle concludes with a pair of investigations on triangular numbers, the first helping pupils to appreciate the properties of the sequence and the second which gets pupils to discover the derivation for the nth term of the triangular number sequence.
