When planning lessons with graphs, I find it so difficult to find differentiated questions with simple worksheets and answers included! So I have made this, and hopefully it will help some of you too! I used this with my middle ability year 10, and it was the first time they had seen all of these graphs, apart from a quadratic. All lessons include: 5 a day starter, Learning objectives and progress tick slide, Fully animated and simple examples, Worksheets ready to print (so no time wasted drawing axes), Answers for each graph! Solving equations! (Two step, brackets, fractions, unknown on both sides, set up and solve problems)

(1)
Full topic on solving equations that I used with a middle ability year 8 class, but first few lessons can be used as an introduction to algebra with year 7, and it also goes to solving equations with fractions and to set up and solve equations that can be given to any year. All lessons include: A starter, lesson objectives with progress tick sheet, so many colour coordinated, differentiated questions WITH answers. Lesson 1: Solving equations! Introduction into one and two step equations to solve by the balancing method. Can be challenged further with solving simple equations with fractions and includes a peer assess worksheet. Lesson 2: Unknowns on both sides! Step by step instructions on how to solve equations with unknowns on both sides. Again can be challenged with fractions in equations and a peer assessment sheet. Lesson 3: Solving equations with brackets! Introduction into how to solve equations with brackets and challenges with brackets in equations with unknowns on both sides. Lesson 4: Expand and simplify when solving equations! 5 a day starter. Having two sets of brackets on one side and having to expand and simplify to solve as a two step equation. Lesson 5: Solving equations with fractions! Add on to previous knowledge of everything we know on solving equations, but with advanced fractions, up to grade A work. Added tarsia which can be printed from PowerPoint. Lesson 6: Set up and solve! Gone through algebraic terminology. Examples and questions of worded and shape questions where the equation must be set up before solved to find the unknown, then substituted back into the equation to find a missing side, angle etc. Hope that this set of lessons comes in useful for you! If you like my lessons, or think there is something I could do to improve them, please rate or comment. Thank you! =]

Circumference, Area of circles, Arc length, Area of sectors!

(2)
Everything you need to introduce circles to KS3, as well as challenging KS4 classes with arc length and area of sectors. These lessons are ready to go, so I hope it saves you some time and effort! All lessons include a 5 a day starter, a progress tick sheet, differentiated questions WITH answers and a plenary. Lesson 1 : Circumference. Whole lesson introducing parts of the circle and how to find the circumference of a circle. Challenges classes with finding perimeters or sectors as well as finding the diameter when given a circumference. Lesson 2: Area of circles. Finding the area of a circle with functional extension questions and a printable differentiated worksheet to extend students. Lesson 3: Sectors of circles. Extending how to find area of circles, by finding fractions of each circle. Shows examples of finding halves and quarters of circles to support understanding of how to find a fraction of the area of a full circle. Includes a functional pizza question to master the concept in real life situations! Lesson 4: Arc Length. Using the same method used to find the area of sectors, to find arc length. Going through how we would find half and quarter of the circumference and questioning can be used to guide students in to how we would find a fifth of the circumference, eighth, etc and then onto more specific and difficult fractions of the circumference. Leads on from last lesson. EXTRA! I have added in an extra learning objective sheet that I made for a homework after the circle topic, to check understanding and progress. This worksheet can also be used in class. The sheet includes a self assessment area for students. I hope you like this bundle of circle lessons and resources and it saves you all some time and effort. If you do like it, or think I could do more, please rate and comment! Thank you!
Inequalities! (Intro, Number lines, Solving, Graphs)

Inequalities! (Intro, Number lines, Solving, Graphs)

(0)
Everything you need to introduce inequalities, solve inequalities and draw and read graphs of inequalities! I used this set of lessons with a middle ability year 10 class working on the higher GCSE, but the first lessons are definitely usable for all of KS3 and 4. Lessons are ready to go! All lessons include a 5 a day starter and progress tick sheet with differentiated questions and answers included! Lesson 1: Introduction into inequalities! This lesson goes over terminology and symbols of inequalities, as well as how to represent inequalities on number lines. This is a lesson I really enjoy teaching as there are many fun whole class activities to do, which branch off for 5min individual activities to solidify the new skills being taught. I have also uploaded a worksheet needed for the activities and a CARD SORT for an extension task, which have the answers on the PPT. Lesson 2: Solving Inequalities! Introducing how to solve inequalities, in the same method as solving equations. This lesson goes up to solving two step equations, but the next two lessons can be added onto this depending on the ability of your students. Lesson 3: Solving Inequalities! Starts with a recap on how to solve equations with unknowns on both sides. I decided to just touch on more advanced equations as I wanted my students to focus on inequalities with unknowns on both sides. I have also used some of the same two step equations from last lesson for those students who need more time to consolidate their knowledge. Lesson 4: Solving inequalities! This lesson focuses on when there are two constraints on the inequality. As I said previously, lessons 2-4 can be put together depending on the ability of your students. The questions used are extensions of the previous lessons so they can carry on from one another seamlessly. Lesson 5: Inequalities on graphs! Starts with a recap on drawing horizontal and vertical lines, as well as diagonal lines on a graph, however, this can be taken out if your students don’t need it. It then goes through, step by step, how to draw and read inequalities from a graph with animations on each step. Worksheets are also uploaded and answers are also included on the PPT. I hope that this bundle of lessons helps you and saves you some time! If you like my lessons or think there is something more I can do, please rate or comment! I really enjoy these lessons and hope you do too! Thanks! =]
