This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in A Christmas Carol. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one is of The Ghost of Christmas Past.
I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays.
I will be uploading Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit & Tiny Tim, the Ghosts of Christmas Present and Yet to Come, and Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, so please look for those if you wish to have the complete set.
Other sets available or coming soon: Frankenstein; Blood Brothers; An Inspector Calls; Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Please get in touch if there is a series of characters and quotes which you would like me to make. As long as it will sell on here, I am happy to put the time in to making them.
This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam. This poster is of Boxer. The people represented by the character of Boxer are also visible in the background, to remind students that Boxer is an allegory for the Russian labourers or peasant workers - the proletariat. I have done this for each of the characters in this particular series.
A5 prints make for really good individual student booklets, while producing A4 versions is ideal for general class use. If you’re wanting to display them, they look really good in A3.
As well as display, they can be given as a task for students to build on the quotes, linking each one to specific themes in the novel and/or explaining why the trait of the character is significant. Another common use is to inspire students to make their own for other characters.
Other characters coming very soon are Mr Jones, Napoleon, Snowball, Mollie, Squealer, Benjamin, Moses, Old Major, Clover and Mr Whymper.
Once they are all completed, I will be making them available as a bundle.
Please note, I sell similar posters for the following texts:
An Inspector Calls
Romeo and Juliet
Macbeth
Blood Brothers
A Christmas Carol
Frankenstein
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Pigeon English

Victor Frankenstein’s best friend, Henry Clerval, is the latest poster in my Frankenstein series. Each poster in the series displays quotes that will be useful to explore as revision for the English Literature GCSE.
If printed in A4, they are ideal for general classroom use, while A3 makes for decent wall displays. You can even create individual revision booklets for students by reproducing the posters in A5.
There are a number of different ways these can be used in class. Blanking out areas of the poster (in Powerpoint or with good old-fashioned white-out and a photocopier) means you can ask students to fill in the blanks. I often ask students to link each of the quotes or comments to a given theme and then explain why that quote is significant. The posters can also serve as inspiration for students to make their own, based on other characters and/or other texts.
Other characters in the series which are currently available are Victor, Alphonse, Justine, Elizabeth, The Creature, and Robert Walton. Once I have completed Caroline and The DeLacey family I will make a bundle available so you can save some money if you want the complete set.
Please take a look at my shop by clicking on my picture or on the name wezcartoons. There are a number of other texts I have covered (listed below) and I am always willing to take on suggestions for my next series.
An Inspector Calls
Blood Brothers
Animal Farm

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
This is my series of posters created to assist revision of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
In this money-saving bundle you get a poster of each of the following characters: Victor, Elizabeth, Justine, Alphonse, Caroline, The Creature, Robert Walton, the DeLacey family, and Henry Clerval.
Each poster features multiple relevant quotes, linked to character traits. These traits serve as the ‘point’ in a PEE/PEAS/PETER style response.
The posters work equally well printed in A4 or A3, and you could even miniaturise them further to serve as individual GCSE revision resources.
The posters can be bought individually but this bundle allows you to save money. Please look at the other resources I have available and, if you have downloaded one that you have found useful, I would be really grateful if you could leave a quick review. Thanks!
