This resource is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet. It is a Formal Art Elements work booklet, which can be used as an activity as part of learning about Formal Art Elements, as a stand alone project for substitute teaching or as an Initial Assessment task. The resource covers the Formal Art Elements: Texture Colour Line Tone Space Shape Form Pattern Students are require to show texture via frottage (rubbings), add primary and secondary colours, fill a box with different lines etc.

This resource can be used for students completing a Gaming or Media Studies course. This is a 3 page game review worksheet for the video game Zelda - Links Awakening, where students answer questions about the game tasks, characters, graphics and sound etc. This can be used as an extension task after students have played the game or for substitute teaching.

A Goonies film review 3 page worksheet for students studying Film or Media Studies. Students have to answer specific questions about the plot and give their overall opinion of the film. This resource could be used as an extension task, after the students have watched the movie, as a substitute teaching task or for Creative iMedia.

A Simpsons Movie Film Review. This resource can be used for students completing a Film/Movies or Media Studies course. This is a 2 page game review worksheet for the film The Simpsons, where students answer questions about the plot and give their overall opinion. This can be used as an extension task after students have watched the movie, for substitute teaching or the Creative iMedia course.

This is a resource I use with students completing a Functional Skills - English/Literacy course. It is a Speaking and Listening assessment task, where students have to roleplay for 5 minutes making a phone call (ordering a takeaway). This resource could be used for SEN students, to support them with the Speaking and listening course criteria.

This resource can be used for students completing a Film or Media Studies course. It is a 7 page quick quiz task, about sports films based on the sports genre. This resource can be used for students Entry Level 3 and above. This resource is useful to helpful to engage SEN students with an interest in sports; it could even be used as an IT session as an Internet research task, for substitute teaching or as part of Functional Skills English.

This resource can be used for students studying English Literature. It is a 3 page worksheet, where students are required to read the excerpts of the HG Wells novel, The War of the Worlds and answer questions about the text. Students should read the extracts and comment on the use of colour used by Wells in the descriptions. How does the use of colour and descriptions make the reader feel about the aliens and what is happening?
