This Christmas maths colour by number activity will give students lots of practice of simplifying ratios. A fun seasonal activity to engage students before Christmas AND they are still doing work! Great for a starter/plenary or early finishers. Especially if you want students to practice and consolidate simplifying ratios without using a traditional worksheet. All the squares have a surd in them and students need to simplify the surd given and colour in all the squares that correspond to their answer, in the colour given, in order to reveal Father Christmas. A lesson on finding the area of a circle, including a Powerpoint and a work booklet. Skills covered include - finding the area of a circle, finding the radius or diameter from the area and finding the area of a sector. Time saving resource for busy teachers! You should be able to teach a lesson with hardly any preparation (mainly printing!). Fully differentiated objectives: ★Finding the area of a circle (blue) ★Finding the radius/diameter from the area (gold) ★Finding the area of a sector of a circle (red) This resource includes: ★A PowerPoint ★Differentiated Work booklet that includes self-assessment sections The PowerPoint includes everything you need to teach area of circles. This hockey lesson is a comprehensive lesson plan for short corner skills for hockey beginners. It will be most appropriate for teaching to a group with no hockey experience e.g. year 7. This file is non editable. Please check out my SOW if you would like editable lesson plans. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation and I made these so in most cases they can be just picked up and taught. All lessons have levelled outcomes. The levels are the old national curriculum levels 3-8 however they are easily editable and changeable to your own assessment levels. Each lesson has assessment levels, diagrams, differentiation and clear explanations of the tasks. There are no timings included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. Gymnastics lesson plan - basic shapes. This is a comprehensive lesson plan on basic shapes in gymnastics. This lesson is most suitable for students on their first unit of gymnastics (year 7). I also have a unit of work available here for year 7.
