WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 1--Lesson 2- Honeypot Sites, National Parks and Snowdonia
This lesson is the 2nd lesson in the first theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at what honeypot sites are and the impacts that they have socially, economically and environmentally. The lesson takes this as an example of Snowdonia National Park.

Surds (WHOLE UNIT)
This pack contains a PPT that covers the following topics: Simplifying surds, adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing and rationalising the denominator, over a series of informative lessons. Each lesson contains Past Paper Questions, a starter and a plenary, examples but also exercises for pupils to complete after the examples so that they can practise what they have learnt. This pack also has a summary homework and test.
Venn Diagram (WHOLE LESSON)
A power point to help pupils to get to grips with drawing, interpreting and using Venn diagrams to calculate probabilities. This lesson also contains a worksheet with a range of different questions that could be asked in an exam but also an extension task to show pupils the types of exam questions that can be asked. The answers for the worksheet is on the PPT and the mark scheme for the extension is also attached.

This lesson is the 8th lesson in the sixth theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the ways that India can help solve its water issue. The lesson contains an exam question and a range of different tasks which helps to develop pupils understanding of the topic.

WJEC 2016 SPEC- Theme 1- RIVERS- Lesson 1 Drainage basin and Hydro-logical cycle
This lesson is the first lesson that I taught for the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course.
This lesson pack includes the starter worksheet that looks at the key terms that the students need to know for the drainage basin section of the lesson.
Worksheets for the hydrological sections.
The powerpoint that runs through what they need to know about the drainage basin and hydrological cycle.
This lesson can be done in 58 minutes if stick fully to the timings outlined in the lesson plan, but we all know this can be hard to do, so this lesson can be split up into 2- where the first lesson would then look at the drainage basin and the second lesson would look at the hydrological cycle.

Substituting Numbers into an Expression
A resource pack that helps pupils to get to grips with substituting numbers into an expression.
Starter: Exam Practice- help pupils to recap over the basic questions in the exam that they SHOULD NOT get wrong.
Examples: Explains to pupils how to substitute numbers into an expression- use of colours to show where each number came from.
Main task: Worksheet to work on the knowledge they just gained and to put what they had learnt into practice. (Answers on the PPT)
Extension: Building on what they have learnt into exam questions. (Answers included in PDF format)
Plenary: To reflect upon what they have been able to do, what they need to improve and their TOP TIP for answering these style questions. (Plenary on the main worksheet)
WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 10- Sustainable Urban- Rural Communities
This is the tenth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how we create sustainable communities/ the different factors that help us to create one. Students also look at what Egan’s wheel is and how it is used to help us to create a sustainable community. Students also look at BedZED as our case study of a sustainable community (this is done as a research/ ICT task).

Quadratic Formula (WHOLE LESSON)
A lesson on solving quadratics using the quadratic formula.
The lesson includes a starter which focuses on quadratics, exam tips, examples with a step by step guide, an exercise for pupils to put into practise what they have learnt, exam practise using past paper questions so they can see how it is asked in the exam and even a plenary so pupils can reflect and evaluate their progress in the lesson.

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 6- Lesson 3- Nike in Vietnam
This lesson is the 3rd lesson in the sixth theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how companies such as Nike operate in NICs and LICs and why they operate in these countries. The lesson also looks at the positives and negatives of these companies in countries such as Vietnam.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 3- Lesson 7- Managing Tectonic Hazards and Assessed Homework
This is the 7th lesson in the 3rd theme of the new WJEC/Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at different strategies that can be used to predict volcanic eruptions, what hazard mapping is and the 3P’s. There is an assessed homework that pupils should complete as homework and this is usually given out and handed in before the revision session, so during the revision session I would go through the assessed homework and anything else that pupils didn’t understand. The assessed homework would count towards their overall grade for that theme. A detailed markscheme and grade boundaries are included.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 11- Urban Regeneration- Brownfield Development- Cardiff Bay
This is the eleventh lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at brownfield site developments and pupils judge if they are a sustainable way of regenerating an area. Pupils look at this lesson through the context of Cardiff Bay. There are multiple slides (that I recommend you print instead of going through them all) on the history of Cardiff Bay and the reasons why it went into decline. Pupils then look at the advantages and disadvantages of the development by categorising the. The lesson finishes with exam practise.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 18- Cardiff- A welsh global city and Assessed Homework
This is the eighteenth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at Cardiff as a global city. As Cardiff is a fairly local example, the information on the slides is just what the students need to know for the exam. The lesson like the others also contains exam practise. There is an attached assessed homework which can be started in the lesson and finished off as homework. The mark scheme is also attached.

This lesson is the third lesson of the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course.
This lesson pack includes:

It contains an engaging starter to get pupils recalling information about what they have learnt in the past few lessons. This is the assessment for theme 5.
It contains a range of different exam questions from different exam boards which focus on different style of questions.
The marksheme is very detailed and gives everything that is needed to mark the paper.
