This Biology revision guide covers two units following the Biology GCSE CIE Cambridge syllabus 0970/0610 for 2023-25 but can be used for others.
The units included are:
Biological molecules
Enzymes
You will find 2 files: one editable and one directly printable (pdf).
This guide is used by my students to prepare for the official exams.
If you find something missing let me know so that I can add it.
Easy to study and concise revision guide for the Circulatory system.
It covers every important point on the current CIE Biology GCSE specification (2023-2025)
It includes:
Circulatory system: description and definition.
The heart structure.
Blood vessels: summary of structure and function.
Blood components: summary of structure and function
My students use them for their officials. A printable version and editable version included.
These slides include a revision for the eye following iGCSE Cambridge Biology syllabus (0973-0654) for students to practice before their official exams.
The slides include:
Structure of the eye slide
Pupil reflex slide
Accomodation reflex slide
Progress check questions slide
Slides with past paper questions: multiple choice questions and a couple of structured questions (answers included)
Printable version and editable versions of the eye diagram are also included
If you buy this presentation and you find it useful I would be extremely grateful if you could leave a review. In return, I can offer you a free resource of your choice or a compilation of end of unit exams. Just contact me in the instagram account I share in my shop. Thanks a million!
This resource contains a power point with a “sudden death quiz” about pathogens and immunity (KS4 level). Easily adaptable and editable for other levels.
There are 15 questions with interactive buttons. Only the right question leads you to the next one. Wrong questions lead you back to the beginning of the quiz. It is a great resource for revision that can be used as a class by projecting it on the whiteboard or it can be shared with students for them to navigate it on their own.
You have the editable power point for you to add questions or edit them to increase/decrease difficulty. To add questions, you can just copy the last slide before the “well done” slide and move the interactive buttons to match the right answer.
In presentation mode the only way to go to the next slide is using the interactive buttons, the mouse or arrow keys will not work (kiosk mode). Press Esc to stop the presentation.
You also have the “show” version of the power point that can be shared with students so that they can use it as revision.
One-pager (double sided though) with all the most important information for the Biology unit about variation and natural selection. It includes:
Variation: continuous, discontinuous, environmental, genetic, mutation and sickle cell anaemia.
Adaptive features: hydrophytes and xerophytes as examples
Natural selection: process and antibiotic resistance
Selective breeding: process and differences with natural selection.
I currently use this concise revision guide with my year 11 students.
It includes the pdf version and the editable version in power point.
These slides include the hardest questions (2 questions, 23 marking points) in 9700 Camrbidge Biology winter papers 2022 for students to practice before their official exams.
The questions allow students to practice new scenarios relevant to the units “Evolution and natural selection”, “selective breeding and gibberellin”.
For each part question you will have:
Question part and timer
Examiner tips from the examiner’s report (full report in presenter slides)
Mark scheme
If you use the presentation mode you can follow the animations to teach and help your students in the last stages before officials with this presentation that can be completed in 50-60 minutes.
If you buy this presentation and you find it useful I would be extremely grateful if you could leave a review. In return, I can offer you a free resource of your choice or a compilation of end of unit exams. Just contact me in the instagram account I share in my shop. Thanks a million!
Roadmap to show the year overview in Science Y8 following CIE Checkpoint. I use it as a poster so that students can follow the scheme of work for the school year in a simplistic way.
The traffic lights (end of unit tests) show the unit number with a colour code depending on the science.
I have included a printable version and an editable version so that it can be tailored to fit other textbooks.
Feedback would be very appreciated as I would like it to be useful for my students so if you find something wrong or missing do let me know.
This power point shows some basic activities to be done with the app iCircuit. It is a great opportunity for KS3 science students as the can build easily parallel and series circuits and then some more complex ones with more components. The last slide offers a final task about Galvani and Volta’s work.
These power points include the guidelines for a project about “Classification and Variation” following the Exploring Science Textbook for Year 7. Some of the terms covered for students to research are: classification, inherited variation, environmental variation, animal kingdom and plant kingdom.
It can be easily edited so that it forms a big project or it can be divided into smaller tasks depending on time availability. It can also be adapted to use in year 8/9.
Worksheet to complete while teaching cellular respiration to include:
Structure of mitochondrion
Stages of cellular respiration
Adaptations of mitochondrion
