This bundle contains lower and upper case letters of the alphabet and numbers 0 to 10 with 2D and 3D shapes inside the letters and numbers for children to colour in and/or cut out and glue into workbooks. Also included are alphabet cards (colour/b&w) which you can laminate. Children use playdough to model the letter shapes. There are two sizes of worksheets: standard A4 size and US Letter size 8.5 x 11". This product relates to adverbs of time/frequency. Ideal if you want to review adverbs of time and frequency. It introduces students to adverbs of time vocabulary and a guide to word order. It outlines where the adverb is usually positioned in a sentence when using the verb ‘to be’, main verb and auxiliary verbs. Content: Teacher’s Notes 18 Classroom Visuals - General information on adverbs of time and frequency 50 Vocabulary flashcards - Common Adverbs of frequency Differentiated Worksheets There are 6 sets of worksheets for students to practice using adverbs of time. Worksheet is a sorting activity - Students cut, sort and paste definite and indefinite adverbs of time into the correct boxes. Not all the words need cutting out as some are adverbs of manner. (Answer Key included) Differentiated Adverbs of frequency worksheets (2 sets) - Easier worksheet - Students sort the jumbled sentences placing the adverb at the end of the sentence. Harder worksheet - The more able students write each sentence out two times placing the adverb at the beginning and also at the end. (Example Answer included) Adverbs of Frequency Sentence Work - Students construct 6 sentences from using the words from Box 1, 2 and 3. (Example given) Adverbs of Time Word Order - Students choose 5 activities from the list and adverbs to write complete sentences. Adverbs of Time (2) Worksheets - This is an easier worksheet. Students choose an appropriate adverb that best fits into each of the 5 sentences and then color in the pictures. Extension work for more able students - Adverbs Already, Still and Yet. This worksheet focuses on the adverbs already, still and yet and where they are positioned in a sentence. Classroom displays: If you are doing work on adverbs of time, you can laminate the information cards and put on classroom wall as visual reminders. Laminate the flashcards - You can randomly shuffle the cards and ask a student to select a card. Whichever card is selected, e.g. ‘sometimes’, students make up a sentence with this word. This product relates to numbers 0 to 10. There are two sets of worksheets which you can laminate as cards for early learners to undertake a range of activities with or without playdough. Content: Set of cards 0 to 10 with number words to trace over. Set of cards 1 to 10 with number words to trace over and dots arranged randomly to represent the numeral. You can set out a range of media for the children: use play dough to model the numbers use playdough to form circles and place over the circles on the card paint the number and/or circles colour in the number and/or circles use drywipe pens to trace inside the number once laminated If you are working on a specific number, you could enlarge the sheet to A3. This product relates to adverbs of degree. I have included a common list of words but there are so many. Use this resource to supplement your teaching of adverbs of degree. You may like to display some of the posters around your classroom. Laminating the posters and flashcards gives them that professional look. Content: Teacher’s Notes Adverbs of degree title card 15 whole page display cards or anchor cards (you can enlarge) 52 Adverbs of degree flashcards - you can photocopy onto colour card paper Differentiated Worksheets 1x Word Search with Solution The 52 adverbs of degree are 4 words to a page - just laminate and cut out. Extras: 6 sets of Worksheets to practise using adverbs of degree: Worksheet 1: Adverbs of Degree Cloze Activity. Students choose an adverb to complete the six sentences. For the second part of the worksheet, students make up a sentence of their own using one of the adverbs that was not used in the cloze activity. Worksheet 2: Adverbs of Degree Modifying Adjectives Worksheet. Students write 9 sentences using the numbered adverb/adjective words in the table. The students can work in pairs if they feel they need help in making up sentences. Worksheet 3 – Adverbs of Degree Modifying Action Worksheet. An explanation is given in the box. Students write 9 sentences using the numbered adverb/action verb in the table. An example is given. Students can draft some sentences on their whiteboard before completing the worksheet. Worksheet 4 – Adverbs of Degree Modifying Other Adverbs Worksheet. Similar to the above task, - A brief explanation is given in the box. Students then write 9 sentences using the numbered degree adverb/other adverbs in the table. Students can draft some sentences on their whiteboards before completing the worksheet. Worksheet 5: Adverbs Focus: Enough, Too and Very Worksheet (with Answer Sheet) In completing this worksheet, students must think about the word order of ‘enough’. The rest of the worksheet is straightforward when the students come to use ‘too’ and ‘very’. The second part of the worksheet requires students to write their own sentences using each of the degree adverbs. Adverbs of Degree Word Search (with Solution) – Students find 14 words listed that go across and down. Worksheet 6: Extension: Rewrite the list in alphabetical order on a separate sheet of paper. Listening and Speaking: As a whole class or small group activity, shuffle a few flashcards and ask a student to select a card. This resource is a reading comprehension short story text mainly focusing on adverbs and adverbials used in the context of a story. There are comprehension questions on the text which includes identifying and sorting adverbial phrases and adverbs, describing fronted adverbials. It also includes: Searching for answers (Text-based evidence) Inference and interpreting Vocabulary work re: synonyms for verbs Sentence work re: amending a long sentence. Redraft story text - students use their own adverbs and adverbial phrases to modify the story thus creating their own version. This product reviews adverbs and then focusses on adverbial phrases. It deals with grouping adverbials of manner, time and frequency, place, purpose/reason and adverbials of degree/intensity. Presentation explains how adverbial phrases act as adverbs in a sentence. Also includes fronted adverbials. Learning objectives and success criteria are included in the lesson. Students draw lines to match up a sentence to a suitable adverbial phrase. Worksheet – Using Adverbials (1) – Students write the beginning of their sentences and then tick any of the eight adverbial phrases to finish off. An example is given on the worksheet. Updated with a newer version containing new pictures and black and white pictures.(April 2019) 56 colour 56 black and white Print and laminate the whole card or you can cut apart the strips and mix them up. Children look at the picture and say what it is. They then unscramble the word in the centre and write it out correctly using phonemes previously taught. Other suggested use: You can cut apart the strips so that you have 56 onset and rime strips. Select the strip you want children to match up and unscramble the cvc words. Children can match up the pictures that rhyme and then unscramble the words and say the cvc words that rhyme. They can record their work in their literacy workbooks. Objectives: To be able to use phonological knowledge to unscramble CVC words To be able to sort pictures that rhyme and match onset and rime words. Encourage children to make simple sentences with the words to understand its meaning and distinguish between nouns, verbs or adjectives. Flashcards and words with and without sound buttons and lines Set of pictures and words for matching activities (9) 3 Activity Sheets: Activity Sheet 1 - Cut and paste activity - Children cut out the circle and words and glue into their workbook or on a separate worksheet matching words to pictures. Activity Sheet 2 - Write sentence task Either the teacher/teaching assistant or children cut out the pictures and glue them into their workbook, label each picture with ‘sn’ CCVC word and then write a simple for each. 2 Word Searches with pictures. **This product has been updated with teacher notes on suggested activities, worksheets and black and white pictures for more initial consonant blend activities. ** There are 3 sets of pictures for each initial consonant blend. One set has highlighted initial blends. Optional: Print out onto card paper/good quality paper, laminate and cut out the pictures and words. Content: Teacher Notes on suggested activities 3 Sets of initial consonant blend pictures with words (one set has highlighted initial blends) 64 black and white pictures relating to initial consonant blends 3 Worksheets - children trace over initial blends and then write in the correct blends to finish incomplete words. 2 Cut/paste worksheet activities - children trace over blends and then write in correct blends to finish incomplete words. Lastly, they cut out the pictures and glue to match the correct completed words. Other Suggested Activities: Pictures only - Mix up different pictures and ask students to find the picture that starts with, e.g. br. Words only - Mix up different words and ask students to sound out the word and/or draw a picture for it. Extension - write sentences. Pictures and words - Mix up different pictures and words for students to match up correctly. Make a word wall using the initial highlighted words as a visual reminder. With the black and white pictures, you can reduce on the copier or leave as is to glue into workbooks. Leave out some words for the children to find the correct word to match the picture in their workbooks. As an extension they can write a sentence using that word. This single phonics pack focuses on initial consonant blend ‘tr’ CCVC words. A natural progression from CVC and CCV to CCVC Phase 4: Letters and Sounds Principles and Practice. Aimed at: Early Years and keystage 1, SEND and ESL/EFL students. It is an addition to my other resources on initial consonant blends. You can decide to put in 15 mins phonics, 30 mins or longer as this is a indepth flexible resource as are the others. Extra: Worksheet 3 - Making Plurals with tr-ccvc words and writing sentences - Children write the singular and then the plural, e.g. troll-trolls -The trolls are hungry and they live under the bridge. (Good opportunity to check grammar). 2 Word Searches with pictures. In small groups, I put different pictures and words from previous laminated material for children to sort into rhyming groups, e.g. trick-brick-prick words/pictures.
