A great resource I came across while preparing my end of year sessions with my maths students (although not all questions pertain to maths).
Shared under the CC licence from JustMaths.com. I’ve also created some handouts for the students to fill in which can be accessed here https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/tes-end-of-year-christmas-quiz-12034693 Full description below.
Enjoy
So the countdown to Christmas has begun but I’m a real grouch when it comes to getting all festive too early. The only concession I make is in my last lesson of every term I do a “pub” quiz. I even let the students choose who to have in their teams (I know!!) BUT there is one proviso: I always make it clear that I expect them to look around the room and make sure everyone is included … reminding them that its not a nice feeling when you aren’t asked to be in anyones team and it always makes me really proud when I see some of the students asking people to join their team. Maybe the fact that I add the threat of never, ever, ever letting them choose their own teams EVER again has something to do with it … who knows!?!?
A collection of 10 sets of GCSE Level Biology Crosswords with answers attached in the separate files of course (I threw in an extra one as I realised there were a couple duplicated words)
Suitable for both high low achievers. Makes for good fun, revision & recap during around exam time. A welcome break from the more intensive & sometimes mundane revision.
Also a good way to keep them busy while I get on with marking, hence why I created so many!
I also have corresponding wordsearhes, match up activities anagrams which serve the same purpose, so if you find this useful I’m sure you’ll find those are too.
I’ve created some mind maps to help students revise the 4 main areas in maths: Algebra, Number, Shape & Data. Simple language has been used to make them accessible to all students.
I also included corresponding checklists for students to use to help them with their revision. A smiley face denotes the student has mastered & is confident in the topic, straight- could do with some revision, and unhappy- this topic needs attention. These are in word doc format so feel free to edit/add/subtract to them.
I’ve used this to help plan revision lessons and get an idea of what the group finds difficult and this has worked well.
For a more in depth look at the individual areas please see my other resources:

Three GCSE Additional Science papers made up of only 6 mark questions Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Covers all areas of the AQA Spec but suitable for other boards. Aimed at higher tier but some questions suitable for foundation. Perfect for Revision.
I also have a bundle with Core and Additional so please check them out too if you think they may be helpful.

The included files were inspired by the many maths murder mystery cryptography challenges (links are in the resource pack). This version is based on the gunpowder plot & in it students must discover the date, the culprit(s), the location and the victim (History students may find this task slightly easier)
I’ve made it accessible for key stage 3 and 4 students (may be a little too challenging for KS2), Makes a good whole class activity, can take up a whole lesson & I have used it on many occasions for a cover lesson. I’ve also created handouts in case you wanted to let the students do it individually. I sometimes give a prize to the student who solves it first.
I hope your students enjoy it & are able to solve the mystery.
This Bumper revision megapack includes a wordsearch, a matching up activity, a crossword and a set of anagrams for the students to unscramble.
Makes a nice break from some of the more intensive revision most students will be undertaking in maths at this time of year. I use these as lesson starters and they work well with my students.
For a more indepth look at the topics please see my other resources
Enjoy & good luck to all the students sitting their exams!

This game pack includes five snakes and ladders games. The first are simpler one step algebraic equations with one unknown. The second includes a pair of brackets. The third includes two step equations. The forth has unknowns on both sides. The fifth and final game includes unknowns and brackets on both sides.
I’ve played this game with some of my tutees who are primary aged, and some secondary school students who struggle with these topics and it always seems to bring out their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
Could also be printed on A3 and laminated. Makes a good supply lesson, activity or challenge to stretch students.

This game includes differentiated questions that have been separated into easy, medium and hard. The hard questions are the more rewarding but as easy ones are included it allows all students to access challenge.

5 levels of difficulty/differentiation. There are 100 cards each (with answers) on the following topics: solving by factorising, solving by comleting the square, factorising quadratics, using the quadratic formula and harder quadratics. 500 questions and answers in all.
A stack of cards is shuffled at the beginning. Each time you land on any square (including snakes and ladders) the player must pick up a card from the deck. Get it right stay there, get it wrong miss a turn.
I have included 2 boards. One has 30 squares and is ideal for a quick game or activity. The other has 100 squares, which would be useful to get in more practice and lead to a longer game.
Great for higher GCSE Students and AS Students studying core 1.
