For several years I worked with Easylearn publishers, developing resources for children struggling with English and Maths. This book gives an excellent introduction to Onset and Rime work. It includes cut and stick activities and incorporates nursery rhymes which appeal to younger children. It has a useful introduction section which bridges the gap between oral/aural and written rhyming work. This book is very helpful for those children who are not succeeding with a purely synthetic phonics approach. Includes sheets to make word-building cards or booklets.
