The PowerPoint initially introduces places in the town items in 3 sections, 10 places per section, each with practice exercises. The resource is easily adaptable if you want to introduce less. There is a wide range of activities on the PowerPoint and on an accompanying worksheet. ‘Dans ma ville il y a’ is introduced and ‘il n’y a pas de’ with practice activities. There are reading comprehensions, translations, true/ false activities, match ups, fill in the blanks. There are two lengthy Power Points, which will take several lessons in order for pupils to grasp and successfully conjugate the pluperfect tense of avoir verbs, both regular and irregular, as well as all être verbs, including reflexives. This is a fun cultural resource that goes through various Spanish Christmas traditions, in English, including some Spanish words. This is aimed at pupils in both KS2 and KS3. There are 16 slides of information and pictures. After that, there is a multiple-choice quiz to check what pupils have understood and/or information they have retained. The quiz is on the PowerPoint (as are the answers) but there is also a separate worksheet version of the quiz. There is a writing / drawing activity for pupils to do at the end and a separate word search document which has words from the activities.

For pupils studying the Perfect Tense, this is a whole set of resources based on an exciting murder mystery. It includes, not only the murder mystery, but starter activities, two plenaries, extension documents, lesson plans etc. Pupils work in groups and compete against the other groups to solve the murder first. This set of resources was used for both Ofsted and internally reviews lessons which were rated as 'outstanding'. The objectives are: To enhance thinking skills in order to participate effectively in a team and reflect on learning. To consolidate prior knowledge of the past tense in order to further develop understanding and accuracy.

Based on the new specifications of exam boards for German GCSE, I have produced 40 different photo cards, all have 5 questions. The range of questions covers both foundation and higher tiers. The cards cover all 3 themes and all sub-themes. The questions are based on information/ specifications/ sample materials from several exam boards. They can be used over many lessons for practising this part of the exam and/or as part of mock exams.

This is a step-by-step guide to using possessive adjectives in French. The PowerPoint slides can be used for pupils to record grammar notes in their books about the use of possessive adjectives.
