They have 60 seconds to answer and a stopwatch countdown timer ius displayed on screen within the powerpoint Main Lesson Multiplying and Dividing Whole Numbers by 10,100,1000 4 Examples 5 Mini whiteboard Questions displayed on screen (answers shown). Questions based on metric conversions of length, hints given on screen Multiplying and Dividing Decimal Numbers by 10,100,1000 Discussion slide on Do you always add a zero when multiplying by 10 6 Examples 5 Mini whiteboard Questions displayed on screen (answers shown). Questions based on metric conversions of length and based around paperclip measurements, hints given on screen Followed by Metric measurement memory aid discussion Then an individual worksheet Activity worksheet where the learners converts paperclip measurements to mm, cm, metre. Finished with a plenary question slide Column Addition and Subtraction of whole numbers Starts with discussion on estimation 5 Example slides 2 Mini Whiteboard question slides (5 questions total) Add and subtract whole numbers Treasure Hunt. The treasure Hunt can be done individually, question cards on 1 sheet and individual student recording sheet included. Plenary Question-Correct the Mistake (answer on screen) Then to finish there is an application on how this could be seen in an exam situation with 3 exam style questions including answers. I hope you find this resource as useful as my students have. Any of the the slides could be printed as worksheets if you feel that would be easier for your class. I ahve also included a workbook on the topic which can be used in class or as a homework for stundents (answers included)

Includes 1 x Worksheet 1 x Display Version of Worksheet Answers Incuded Questions include Adding Negatives Subtracting Negatives Multiplying Negatives Dividing Negatives Squaring/Cubing Negatives The differentiated questions allow all students to access the topic at their own confidence levels and the answers are always readily available to check their understanding. I like to use this differentiated question sheets as a starting point in lessons to recap topics already covered as it easily picks up misconceptions, then again as a plenary or mini-plenary. The questions can also be used as a homework sheet. Having the answers also reduces workload as students can self-mark. The smashed it (hardest) questions really stretch the most able students
