This is a fun and relaxing art activity which can be tailored to suit all learners. This resource includes: Teaching slides which explain what mandala art is and gives a step by step guide on how to create the art using the guideline template. However this resource could be made more challenging by getting learners to draw out the guidelines using a ruler protractor (a blank template is attached also) Two different leaf designs with guidelines or completely blank for learners to draw their own. For learners who may find the design challenging then I have included six colouring mandala worksheets using the same leaf designs.

This resource revises the place value of a number up to decimal thousandths. It then briefly covers partitioning/expanding of decimal numbers and ordering decimal numbers. It contains links to two games that can be played on an interactive whiteboard with learners.

This yearbook is a great end of year activity for school leavers. It contains multiple pages where pupils can add information about themselves, class mates, teachers and memories. This is in a PPT format so can be easily edited to suit the school and printed.

This writing resource works well along the RSPB Bird Watch which takes place this time of year. Whether children are actively bird watching outside or simply learning about birds around them, it is a great way to engage with nature. This lesson models for learners how to research four different birds and take notes in their jotter. It then demonstrates how to turn these short notes into engaging sentences for their reader. Finally it models for learners how they can lay this out neatly in their jotter and include some of the key features of an information text like headings, subheadings, pictures and captions.

Daily morning Starters to engage learning first thing in the morning. The starters rotate on a weekly basis. The colour scheme is ASN/ASD friendly. I have chosen muted colours with grey undertones as this can be more calming and less over stimulating for learners with ASN. This resource briefly explains what the Feast of the Epiphany then it goes on to look at how it is celebrated in different countries. There is a short quiz at the end that could be completed written or verbally. There is also a short follow up task about researching another country and their traditions. This would require ICT.

This Chinese New Year is the year of the dragon so the writing focus is going to be on a character description of a Chinese Dragon. This resource explains the five different aspects of a character that pupils should describe in order to successfully convey their character to their reader. It also provides a modelled text, and a table worksheet for them to record examples of each aspect from the text. This will help give them inspiration for their own story. This resource includes the main lesson, the recording table and the planning page. I have also included a printed copy of the texts which could be printed out for pupils.

This resource covers one step and two step equations (with balancing). It includes lots of examples for learners to try before progressing on. It also has 3 differentiated worksheets which provide consolidation and challenge for all learners.

This resource can be completed as 2/3 lessons depending on the stage and ability of learners. Lesson 1 focuses on basic greetings depending on time/occasion & introducing yourself by name.
