Here is a fun activity which can be completed as a lesson or intervention starter. The aim is to read all the words on the worksheet and make connections between the word on the web. Here is an example of some word connections on the first worksheet. Find- fast, floor and father- all start with ‘f’. Find- mind and kind- all rhyme Find- gold , mind and kind all end with ‘d’ and have 4 letters in. Another common exception word which could link with find is behind because it ends with ‘nd’ I hope you find this resource useful. As part of our topic we invited parents and carers into school to come and view the children’s art work for the term. For one of the English lessons we wrote a invitation for the children to write in their books and re-copy in their best handwriting and take home with them.

Here is an activity for your class/ child to find the different sounds on each card.I encouraged my children to recall the sound and letter names whilst also asking them to show me the capital letters and lower case.
