French regular IR verbs game - Quel Dommage! While teaching your students regular IR verbs in the present tense, they will have a great time practicing with this hands on game: QUEL DOMMAGE!! This is a review game in which the sentences are written with the infinitive form of verbs in parentheses. Students have to restate them using correct conjugations in the present tense. An answer key is provided so that students can check their work as they play. You could easily modify the game to be played in the passé composé or other tenses. Detailed instructions are included so that even when you need to have a sub, your students can practice regular IR verbs. All you have to do is print the game cards on heavy paper or card stock and cut them out. If you laminate them you’ll have a no prep activity ready to go for years to come! Put all of the game pieces in a box and divide your students into small teams. Give each team gets a box of questions and a copy of the answer key. French present subjunctive battleship games Everyone loves a good game of BATTLESHIP, and the French classroom is a better place than any! You can use this classic game format to practice forming the PRESENT SUBJUNCTIVE. This resource includes 45 verbs. Halloween Game - I have…Who has? This version includes 24 cards. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. Here’s how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says I’ll start the game begins the game. He says, for example, I’ll start the game. I have a pumpkin. Who has a spider? The person who has the card with a spider on it says, I have a spider. Who has a broom? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student’s card will say, The game is over. I am a firm believer that repetition is key in learning a language, and that's why I've created many different versions of these speaking cards.
