Exercises to practise language to describe a typical school day. Includes labeling pictures and gap-fill sentences with time expressions. There is also an extensive comprehension of Madeleine’s daily routine on school days including a question worksheet. Focus is on verbs, regular -er verbs but also introduces some irregular verbs. Also revises school subjects and food and drink items. There are answer sheets for each activity. To complete this topic, I have added an extension activity for students to write their own sentences using a variety of subject pronouns. This tests their ability as to how well they have mastered conjugating regular and irregular verbs. Contains images for: avoir être aller faire (les devoirs) regarder jouer parler (French flag) habiter manger écouter / entendre travailler rentrer porter écrire dessiner dormir demander / répondre conduire offrir choisir dire boire voir lire aimer The rules are slightly different from the usual ones. When you land on a snake, if you can correctly name the infinitive verb you remain on that square. You do not have to go down the snake. When you students are confident naming the infinitive verbs, they can then say a sentence about the picture. Use a dice to find out which 'person' the sentence will start with. Cards need to be printed out twice. I have included 27 verbs. The memory game can be played in several ways. To begin with place cards spread out face down on a table. Pupils turn over 2 at a time. They have to say the infinitive of the verb showing on the card. When they find two that match, they win them. Next when a card is turned over, pupils have to say the je, tu, il, elle form of the verb. This could then be extended to include nous, vous and ils and elles. A further game could be that pupils have to use the verb in a full sentence.

Gap-fill exercise to introduce the names of some common occupations and professions in Spanish. (Completed one done for teachers.)
