A resource adapted from the L’Auberge Espagnole study pack on RoutesIntoLanguages, made for AS and A level students studying the film as part of their course. This was used specifically for those doing the AQA exam board, however it can be used for any.
Includes extensive analysis and information on the film, as well as many different vocabulary and grammar tasks. All tasks have been created differently - some include essay writing, whereas others include matching photos to names and nationalities so can be used for any ability.
It’s a good idea to work through this booklet as you introduce the film to the students as the booklet itself does go from ‘avant d’avoir vu le film’ up to when students are revising and preparing for the exams.

There are 20 different verbs in their own box. - Cut out each verb and place it face down on the table
Ask a student/peer to pick one of the verbs, and reveal what they got
Choose one tense, and one person form for them to conjugate the verb to
1 point for a correct conjugation, and 1 extra point if they can use the conjugation in a sentence adequately

Activity aimed at GCSE Italian students of any exam board.
A worksheet useful for revising/consolidating the topic of seasons/days/months and the grammar aspect of prepositions. This activity comes with 2 gap fill exercises on simple prepositions and prepositions + articles, a vocabulary section which shows the prepositions in practice and then a translation task whereby prepositions must be used correctly.
A game useful for GCSE students that enables them to practice their comprehension, understanding of grammar, speaking abilities, and, if necessary, dictionary skills. The resource is particularly useful for revising prepositions and present tense verbs.
Students should get into pairs and label themselves 1 or 2. Student 1 reads aloud and describes their scene, which student 2 then draws. Then this is swapped around.
