Aimed at A level French students studying ‘Un Secret’ for paper 2, the resource includes:
A revision PPT with tasks and extension tasks to cater to students of different abilities. The PPT focuses on revision mainly, with there being a brief summary, a biography on the author, a summary of main characters, a recap of the main themes, information on historical context, the relevance of time and space in the book, a comment on the structure of the book, a family tree so students can understand character relationships better, a comment on the cinema adaptation of the book.
There is a translation from French into English, from a literary critic’s blog on the film. This is also useful to the students doing the AS exam as translation will be required.
There is an example of an essay written in an exam style the students will need to copy provided, as well as a mark scheme. This will enable students to get to grips with the quality of writing they need to be producing for the exam.
