I developed this unit for a Y2 class of withdrawal LS pupils whom had small group focused English lessons. It includes adapted PPTs specifically with lower language load but they can be adapted up or down. I have also included a few additional resources from other sources .

Free week for week 1. The other weeks are available for download too... No other resources needed except whiteboards and pens. Saves hours making cards and laminating. Ideal for class teachers or cover/supply walking in to lessons. Each presentation has at least 20 slides and has huge variety to reinforce or progress through quickly depending on your children. The full series includes lessons about various Ancient Greece topics and questions which you can use in response to children's interests, all linked to the theme Ancient Greece. This lesson looks at where in the world is Greece, looks at countries in Europe and provides a framework for pupils to carry out independent research using the internet, recording answers on a worksheet, giving a clear scaffold and learning experience to keep children on task and avoiding 'copying and pasting'. It is scaffolded with specific questions linking to specific websites and differentiated for MAP (middle ability pupils), LAP and HAP. The note book includes maps, objectives, review and teaching pages. Along with the differentiated worksheets pupils can browse specific websites and record learning. Versatile, editable game for assessment/revision, centres, use with parents or pupils, teaching vocab or just developing interaction, social skills. I 've used this game in so many ways and just edit the words depending on the context. I've used after an intense training day with staff for fun, with EAL children to assess after a unit of work, as part of a end of year assessment of topic understanding and to restrain impulsive and hyperactive kids shouting out opponents answers whilst waiting their turn.
