This is a 6 page booklet of activities on the case study of a major city in an EDC, written for the OCR People of the Planet unit. It is based on the Hodder OCR A textbook. It covers all aspects of the case study, requiring students to complete mind maps, tables, questions, an exam question and diagrams. The booklet has taken 2 hours of lesson time to complete.

This is an A3 sheet that asks students to apply their knowledeg of development and development indicators to the country of Ethiopia. It is a research activity that finishes with knowldege of Ethiopia as a country and of its rating as an LIDC.

Based on the new GCSE levels, these resources are designed to illustrate and explain to pupils how to make progress at KS3. Displays what pupils need to do to improve their geographical knowledge, understanding and skills through the levels. There are sheets for pupils’ books to show how they can progress form their current level to the next as well as classroom display / posters to show the full ladder for each of the three categories (knowledge, understanding and skills).

This is a booklet that can used to record the key characteristics of each of the seven biomes covered in the OCR A specification. It covers location, climate, flora and fauna and an exam question based on the biome. There is also a two page spread where students can record images of the different types of flora and fauna. It is designed to last four to five lessons depending on detail of exam feedback.
