A complete lesson with supporting worksheets, no other resources are necessary, as a Knowledge Organiser is included. However it does follow on from separate lessons on Chile and Nepal , I have included video links to illustrate these. The main activity is a variation of the revision quilt idea with students asked to pick out the key facts of each example and classify appropriately. Answer keys are included to ensure live feedback can be given. The worksheets are editable and can be completed digitally if required and so are ideal for home learning use.
A fully resourced lesson that explores the DTM in an active way. The power-point covers the key definitions and includes video links. The main activity is a market place/carousel activity in which the students move around the room collecting the information for each stage. The information sheets are in colour for high impact and would benefit from laminating to ensure they can be reused. The data is up to date using pyramids from the CIA website. Designed to meet the demands of the new 9-1 GCSE but suitable for KS3.

The emphasis is on getting students to engage with the activities and demonstrate understanding. Resource sheets include differentiated activities and allow students to consolidate their learning. This can be completed as a single lesson with a straightforward case study template but with all the questions and resources there is plenty of material for 2 lessons and homework activities. The teacher copy of the example template can be used as a revision resource as it provides a concise summary of the content required.
This lesson concentrates on the wide range of evidence available for climate change. It covers the historical evidence, glacial retreat, ice cores, direct temperature readings through to recent changes in sea ice coverage. It is designed to be used with the Oxford Textbook with a graphic organiser linked to the double-page spread but plenty of video links are included for variety and the book is not necessary. but other sources can be used instead. A range of options is included to cover the material, depending on the sources available. A graphic organiser has been kept relatively generic to allow for a variety of texts/sources to be used but it is ideal if using the Oxford Textbook. Differentiated questions have also been included.
