Explore how MLK responds to hate and prejudice and how he teaches Miles that violence is not the answer and to appreciate the life he has. Ask students to consider how TV played a part in MLK’s civil rights movement, especially in Birmingham, Alabama. Finally encourage students to describe what changes they can make in their own lives to improve the world around them.
