This lesson covers the case study for key topic 1 for the new EDEXCEL GCSE History breadth study Migrants in Britain. It looks at the city of York under the Vikings. This contain all of the knowledge that students need for the exam; a practice causation question, and opportunities for discussion and evaluation throughout. This case study should be taught at the end of key topic 1 - Migration in Medieval England. If all activities are covered the duration of the lesson will be 2 hours. Suitable for all ability groups.
