A ppt which will help you compliment the to teach the topic of a special birthday from the Viva 3 rojo textbook. The preterite tense is very quickly recapped here and there is an activity to put the 3 tenses in practice. A few vocab items are introduced with the game que falta, but using the textbook would be ideal to introduce them all. Listening activities are ready with answers; also manipulated to make them most of them and include variety. This resource covers unit 5.1 from the Stimmt 1 textbook ‘In der Stadt’, dealing with places in town (es gibt) and negatives (keinen/keine/kein). 50 slides with vocabulary and exercises following closely pages 98 and 99 from the textbook and including additions and variations to it. A worksheet on LGBT topic that I created based on the AQA A-level Spanish textbook, Unit 3 La Igualdad de los Sexos (3.3 los derechos de los gays y las personas transgenero) but which can be adapted to any textbook. A very complete lesson based on the Mira 2 textbook, unit 1.2 “Mis amigos”, containing a range of different activities to do with your class, not only following the textbook, but offering a range of complimentary activities and extra vocabulary to stretch the most able. It also brings 6 different vocabulary tests.

This ppt includes a range of varied activities created to support Mira 3 Rojo textbook in the topic of music. The activities were also designed to compliment it with extra stuff to stretch the most able. This resource also contains vocabulary tests, versions A and B to stop kdis from cheating from each other, and a preterite tense bingo. In this topic I introduce the preterite tense, so there’s a lot on it, too (formation, time indicators, activities to practise, links to music videos to help auditory learners, etc). Many tasks are made to challenge students of high ability. The notes pane might explain certain tasks, check it out.

This 60-slide bundle includes resources for El Patrimonio Cultural module > Sitios historicos y civilizaciones prehispanicas (6.1) AND Arte y arquitectura (6.2) but not for El patrimonio musical (6.3). This bundle includes the introduction of the perfect subjunctive with a bunch of activities to go with it. Ideal if you have recently taught the present subjunctive and want to take it further.

Ppt presentation I created to collate some fun tried and tested activities to teach the perfect tense to KS4 students. It can be easily adapted to any ability group due to the nature of the activities. It provides an explanation of what it is (uses), time indicators, formation (endings) and main irregular forms. It then includes 4 different activities: a basic sentence translation activity, a never have I ever task to get your students standing up and down depending on whether they’ve done a number of things (18 in total), a differentiated die activity to do in pairs to conjugate verbs in the perfect tense or take it a bit further and ask each other questions based on the given verbs, and finally a list of 26 things students might have or might have not done before they finish school, to practise “ya” and “aun no”. Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to describe pets at length, including: a wide range of animals, colours and recycling and adding words to describe their personality and appearance. Opportunities to work on adjectival agreement. You get vocab sheets if you print these for your ss; vocab tests, a wide range of starter activities and ideas for listening, speaking, reading and writing, away from the boring content that the textbook provides. A whole lesson based on the Mira 3 textbook, En que trabajas topic. Materials included: a powerpoint presentation with a few extended and extra activities I have made up based on the textbook, and a worksheet on professions (to work on definitions and basic grammar based on genders)

This resource includes a 174 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 4 group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. What’s included: resources for Unit 1: Everyday life at home and school, which at the same time includes activities for section: 1A House and Home --> 1A.1 Donde vivo yo; 1A.2 Esta es mi casa; 1A.3 Que haces en casa; 1A.4 Las habitaciones de mi casa. It comes with two extra reading activities I made up to extend my students, two versions of vocabulary tests to be done at the end of every-subsection, and overall a good range of activities that train the 4 skills, and grammar. There are writing activities that match Q6 and Q7 from the specification as well. There is at least 1 grammar question resembling the grammar paper in the spec, too. Listening activities usually bring answers and transcripts to be displayed. I have also attached the list of vocabulary provided by the textbook for the Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school, corresponding to sections 1A to 1D, ALREADY FILLED IN WITH THE TRANSLATIONS for students to use as revision if you dont want to spend time from the lesson/homework to get them to write them down.
