Division Using Bus Stop Method - Easy to Challenging
Understanding the Problem
Identifies the key numbers in each word problem (e.g., total quantity, divisor).
Understands the context of the problem and what is being asked (e.g., finding equal groups or distributing items).
Application of the Bus Stop Method
Correctly sets up the division problem using the bus stop format.
Divisor is outside the “bus stop.”
Dividend is inside the “bus stop.”
Divides each digit in the dividend correctly, starting from the left-most digit.
Handles remainders accurately and carries them to the next digit.
Writes the quotient above the line in the correct position.
These worksheets includes problems that increase in complexity. Encourage students to carefully work through each problem using the bus stop method to practice their division skills.
