The activity requires NO PREP; it has a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.

A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to some of the key events of Ancient Egypt. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 30 posters or cards that include many of the key events and periods from the first settlements in the Valley of the Nile to the end of the empire under Cleopatra.
The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to Ancient Egypt. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.
