Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 29 posters or task cards that include many of the key figures and events from the Boston Tea Party to the Treaty of Paris which formally ended the war.

A Google Forms reading comprehension passage with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task about the Terracotta Army that overlooked the tomb of the first emperor of Ancient China, Qin Shi Huang. The NO PREP informational text activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6. This activity is an online resource, that uses Google Forms, and is linked to your Google Drive. It can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and is easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format.

Time allowance to complete:

Time allowance to assess:
A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options.
Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the gmail account where you wish to store the activity. In the past teachers have downloaded resources into their school account in error. Thanks :)

Ideal for Year 5 or Year 6, the activity is perfect for group work, starting a new ancient history topic, team-building activities or for a fun, engaging and interactive lesson. In Task 1 students will read an informational text about the Code of Hammurabi and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.
In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word.
In Task 3 students will have to cut out 25 timeline task cards before putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word.
In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.
Students can then complete their student answer key with the four words they revealed before checking with the teacher to see if they have escaped successfully.

A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the some of the key events and people of Ancient India. There are 30 posters or task cards that include many of the key events including the rise of the first villages in the Indus Valley, the birth of Buddhism, the key empires and periods, and the invasions of Greece, the Mongols and Persia.
The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to Ancient India. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.
