A fully differentiated and resourced lesson that focuses on the character of Eric Birling in JB Priestley’s An Inspector Calls throughout Acts 1 and 2 before we find out how he is connected to Eva Smith’s death in Act 3. The lesson allows students to work in groups to analyse key quotes from and about Eric in the first two acts and to build up a knowledge bank on the character.
