Aimed at year 9 student Word document and PowerPoint format Included: word document containing information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of ling near volcanoes as a hazard. PowerPoint with worked literacy example. Students use the source material to create a summary table (template on slide 4) developing skills in extracting information from a source and comprehension. Teacher guided answers on slide 5. Students then use literacy aid (slide 2) to construct a discussion. Teacher then leads a worked example through using slides 7 and 8.
