A very useful tool to assist learners to distinguish between the use of 'oui' or 'si' with differentiated quizzes and exercises. This concept often makes an appearance during Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
Here is part 2 of breakfast items in French. The powerpoint introduces differentiated vocabulary for different levels, followed by various activities and games. This pack also contains differentiated workbooks for different levels where children colour in the words pink, as it only contains feminine nouns (and they can colour in the pictures too!). This is ideal for Key Stage 1 and 2 French.
New vocabulary:
La confiture
La marmelade
Une crêpe
Differentiated vocabulary:
Les mouillettes (toasted soldiers!)
Here is a useful way to introduce vocabulary relating to the house. Print off the slides (in colour if you prefer), laminate them and then cut them to size.
This game contains more complex vocabulary and is geared towards students of a stronger ability, gifted and talented students or native French speakers. It is fun for all levels of French and even good revision for A-level French!
Welcome to Stage 5-2 !
The purpose of this powerpoint is to become deeply acquainted with the formation of tenses and verbs, especially for those who have difficulties in doing so. This is a very good way of introducing the conjugation either when teaching it for the very first time or revision. This is the 34th stage of the learning process and there are 72 stages in the entire process. By the end of the 72nd stage, learners will have a developed a very profound mastery of not only forming nine different tenses which range with complexity upon progression, but also, an exhaustive range of different verbs which have been very carefully divided stage by stage. Upon completion of Stage 9-8, the final stage of the process, will immensely prepare students to pursue with their French studies at university level, where they will inevitably be using tenses. It is also suitable for adult learners, again whether they are learning it for the first time or revision.
This folder contains the following regular '-er' verbs in the future tense:
Manger
Changer
Parler
Regarder
When showing each slide, there is an audio clip on each new item that you can click on and you will hear my voice which demonstrates the pronunciation of each item, or alternatively, you can lead the pronunciation of each item. It is up to you! The learners will then reiterate the new items every time they see the slide 'This time you try it!' You will be very surprised to see how it will stick in their minds!!
I would strongly encourage you to purchase the follow-up activity 'French: Stage 5: The future tense', which enables students to manually complete the drills based on what they have learnt. They are £5. Upon completion of Stage 5-8, there are tests also available.
Happy teaching and learning and the very best of luck!!

Relative pronouns using 'lequel, laquelle, lesquels, lesquelles' is a highly tricky concept and requires much greater understanding, however I have designed this activity to facilitate this and there is a quiz which follows. Upon completing the 5-step method, you will have developed a much more proficient understanding of it all. This concept is briefly mentioned at IGCSE level, but used more profoundly at AS and A2 level French. There is also a wordsearch which revises previously learnt relative pronouns which can be used a warmer activity before the main stage of the lesson begins.
Happy teaching and learning!
