ENGLISH NUMBERS 0-31 TASK CARDS
ESL EFL ENGLISH NUMBERS 0-31 English Numbers 0-31 Task Cards really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of English and English numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. The questions have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in,* speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in English*. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-31, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn numbers in English, but also to develop English Language skills in general, to enjoy working with English, and to feel confident about doing so. There’s definitely a UK theme running through many of the questions, featuring questions about fish and chips and the Loch Ness Monster for example. The questions range in complexity and challenge, and are great for honing numeracy skills too - especially if calculators are not allowed!
The questions are all in English, which in itself is a really useful comprehension activity. Depending on your students, reading the questions together first to check for understanding is a good idea. There’s a question card template too - students genuinely enjoy creating questions for each other, and it allows them to apply language practically and creatively. The answer key provides learners with an additional opportunity to engage with language, and also helps them develop more independence in their learning. They genuinely enjoy correcting their own and each others’ work - and it’s a great teacher-time saver too!
The resource comprises the following:
= Set of 36 cards, 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out.
= answer key and answer recording sheet

ITALIAN IRE VERBS PRESENT TENSE
BEGINNER ITALIAN PRESENT TENSE ARE VERBS CONJUGATION PRACTICE FOCUS ON 25 HIGH-FREQUENCY ITALIAN -IRE VERBS My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. There are 150 conjugations across 3 differentiated conjugation challenges. I use these kinds of workbooks in lots of different ways: for practice during the introduction phase, for independent choice in class time, for home learning, for practice and revision during vacation and at return to class, and for sub lessons - they’re really versatile, and ideal for beginner Italian students who are getting to grips with conjugation in Italian, and building their Italian verb vocabulary.
Though the workbook focuses solely on the correct conjugation of verbs, and does not look at word order in the context of full sentences, there are conjugation patterns that students can learn, recognise and apply, ensuring that their spoken and written Italian is accurate, and that their understanding of Italian across the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing is robust.
The resource is structured as follows:
Two alphabetical verb reference lists: Italian-English and English-Italian.
Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations:
Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in Italian across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation.
Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in Italian, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in Italian.
Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding Italian verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt.
Notes and Next Steps template which students visit regularly - it really does encourage them to think about where they are now, how confident they feel, and what they might need to work on a little more to be absolutely sure of their conjugation skills. We also note down any new verbs we meet, which enables students to build up their own verb vocabulary bank.

The workbook focuses on formation and conjugation, rather than usage, though it’s definitely useful to remind students of a number of things when focusing on or revising tense and verb formation and conjugation. For example, students do often try to conflate what they know about conjugation in their first language, and the language they are learning, and those with English as a first language frequently look for a word that is the equivalent of would, until they familiarise themselves with the fact that the notion of conditional is indicated in the verb ending. I see this a lot with the future tense too, and tend to introduce both tenses quite closely together. It’s also easy to confuse the future tense endings with the conditional tense endings, and targeted practice helps to address that really well.

ITALIAN VERBS BOOK #1
INTERMEDIATE ITALIAN ADVANCED ITALIAN BEGINNER ITALIAN 500 high-frequency Italian verbs, listed alphabetically both Italian-English and English-Italian - a great learning support resource for intermediate Italian moving into advanced level Italian students, and useful also for advanced beginner Italian students, providing a language road map with learning goals, outlining the verbs they should ideally know by a specific stage in their learning.
There are 48 pages in the book, and all 500 verbs are listed alphabetically Italian-English and English-Italian. There’s also a first person conjugation reference in the present, perfect and imperfect tense, which is really useful for checking which verbs take essere in the perfect tense, and for the past participle. As students become more competent in conjugation, the first person reference enables them to predict accurately other forms of the verbs. I use the reference book for quick vocabulary quizzes too - either I or a nominated student shouts out an Italian or English verb, with teams giving the corresponding Italian or English verb - I’ve found this is a really successful way of avoiding more formal vocabulary tests, while still providing students with frequent opportunity to refresh and embed essential Italian vocabulary.
The verbs are useful for engaging with the following topics and themes:
youth, identity & lifestyle
fashion
culture, customs and traditions
relationships and family
technology and social media
sport, health and fitness
free time, hobbies and interests
entertainment and leisure
food and drink
local, national & international global areas of interest
transport
holidays, tourism and travel
environment, pollution, recycling and climate
social issues
school, college, current and future study
work experience, skills and personal qualities
employment, ambitions and career plans

ITALIAN PLUPERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE
ADVANCED ITALIAN INTERMEDIATE ITALIAN CONJUGATION PRACTICE PLUPERFECT TENSE The workbook focuses on 25 high-frequency regular and irregular verbs Italian verbs in the pluperfect tense (trapassato prossimo). There are three differentiated ‘quick conjugation’ challenges, each with 50 conjugation questions, so 150 conjugations in total. My students really enjoy learning and practicing their conjugation skills with these kinds of workbooks, and I’ve created a series of them that they can access whenever they feel they need to do a little extra work on their conjugation. There’s also a 6-page answer key workbook - for me, answer keys are an integral element of the learning process with this kind of activity - they certainly help students develop more independence in their learning (and they do enjoy correcting their own and particularly each others’ work!), and they give students further opportunity to engage with the learning focus.

FRENCH CLOTHES FLASHCARDS POSTERS
PRIMARY FRENCH IMMERSION FRENCH CLOTHES FLASHCARDS POSTERS instant introduction to 20 clothes items in French. The fashcards / posters also give the learning environment a fabulous*** French*** look and feel, promoting French as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of your learners. They also help learners familiarise themselves with both the ‘look’ of French words, and how sounds are represented in the written form.
The target language features singular and plural nouns with the indefinite / partitive article, some with colour and adjectival agreement, which is a great opportunity to begin to compare French to other languages learners may speak or know. Looking at language, and the ways it works, either similarly to, or differently from, other languages, helps learners become implicitly aware of linguistic concepts, and how adjectives may change according to gender and number. This is really useful for both current and later learning.
It doesn’t matter if some of the items don’t feature in your immediate or even longer-term learning plan: the flashcards / posters provide learners with daily opportunities to engage with the written word in French, to develop their recognition and recall of individual words, to identify cognates and near-cognates, and to begin to link spelling with sound in French. They also help learners begin to work out the meaning of new and unknown words from visual clues or prompts.
The 20 nouns are:
cap * coat * dress * glasses * gloves * hat * jacket * jeans * jersey / jumper / pullover * scarf * schoolbag / rucksack * shirt * shoes * skirt * sneakers / trainers * socks * sunglasses * T-shirt * tie * trousers
There are four poster headers: les vêtements, Qu’est-ce que tu portes ?, Qu’est-ce que tu as ? and Qu-est-ce que c’est ? The labels/answers correspond to the question format. This really does help to promote speaking in the classroom, and I often use the posters for quick speaking refreshers at various points in an individual lesson, or across a series of lessons, really getting the most out of the display.
Use them as flashcards to introduce and practise language too - it’s a traditional and successful low-tech teaching method, which gives students a welcome break from the whiteboard - varying teaching methodologies in the language learning classroom is always a good idea, and I also encourage my students to take the role of the teacher too, which they find really motivating.

LATIN NUMBERS 1-10 WORD SEARCHES
LATIN FOR CHILDREN BEGINNER LATIN NUMBERS 1-10 10 differentiated word searches with answer keys focusing on Latin Numbers 1-10 ideal for beginner Latin learners of all ages - I’ve found that word searches are the ideal activity for young and beginner students of Latin to engage with the written word in Latin, at the same time developing essential beginner Latin vocabulary. They are easily differentiated - and the grids have an increasing level of challenge, to ensure that all students can feel confident about their learning - and lots of chances to keep challenging themselves. I’ve indicated the direction the words are located in the grid with arrows.
The word searches are really versatile, and I use them in lots of different learning contexts, such as starter and refresher activities, fun-time fillers, sub lessons, or free-choice activity at any time during the school year.
There are five Latin-Latin grids - the prompt words are in Latin, and the grid words are also in Latin. Each grid is progressively more challenging. There are also five English-Latin grids - the prompt word is in English, and students have to find the Latin equivalent in the grid. On each grid there’s a number list they have to complete too for extra practice. Each grid is on 8.5 x 11 (A4) landscape format - this format has always worked best for my beginner Latin learners.

LATIN ANIMALS FLASHCARDS POSTERS
LATIN FOR CHILDREN BEGINNER LATIN ANIMALS FLASHCARDS POSTERS These Latin animals flashcards / display posters create a fabulous Latin look and feel in the learning environment. I’ve found that this also helps promote Latin as a real language, featuring in the everyday life of beginner learners of Latin. They introduce learners to a range of animals in Latin from the very beginning of their learning, and they are able to familiarise themselves with how Latin words ‘look’, and how they are represented in the written form. My younger Latin students really love the animals flashcards / posters, and when we look for cognates and near-cognates, they really like to compare the Latin and English words. I’ve found that they also help very young children develop their growing understanding of the animal kingdom.
Use them as flashcards to introduce and practice language too - it’s a traditional and successful low-tech teaching method, which gives students a welcome break from the whiteboard - varying teaching methodologies in the language learning classroom is always a good idea, and I also encourage my students to take the role of the teacher too, which they find really motivating.
There are 20 masculine, feminine and neuter animals. I’ve chosen a couple of insects and birds, as well as animals that feature in very popular stories, such as ursus and lupus. Looking at language, and the ways it works, either similarly to, or differently from their first language, helps learners become implicitly aware of linguistic concepts in both languages, which I’ve found to be really useful for both current and later learning.
The animals are:
***bear : bee : bird : butterfly : cat : dog : fish : fox : frog : horse : kangaroo : monkey : mouse : owl : parrot : rabbit : spider : squirrel : turtle / tortoise : wolf ***
There are two sets of 20 9.5x11 (A4) portrait posters: one with a colour background, the second with an animal footprint background, so 40 posters in total. I always laminate my posters / flashcards as they hang a lot better, are easier to manipulate as flashcards, and definitely last for years!

FRENCH PLUPERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE
FSL FLE FRENCH PLUPERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE 25 high-frequency regular and irregular French verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. The workbook is ideal for advanced intermediate French students who are beginning to work with more complex language and texts in French, and developing their knowledge of tense and mood in French.
The workbook focuses on formation and conjugation, rather than usage, though it’s definitely useful to remind students of a number of things when focusing on or revising tense and verb formation and conjugation. For example, language learners do often try to conflate what they know about grammar in their first language, with the grammar of the language they are learning, and with students whose first language is English , I frequently see students using avoir instead of être for verbs which require the auxiliary être. Students do need to to have a good grasp of the relevant auxiliary verbs in the imperfect tense to ensure that they can form the pluperfect tense accurately. In terms of the past participle, students begin to be able to predict it accurately, the more they see it, and construct it.
The resource has the following structure:
Two alphabetical verb reference lists: French-English and English-French.
Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations:
Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in French across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation.
Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in French, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in French.
Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding French verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt.
Notes and Next Steps template which students visit regularly - it really does encourage them to think about where they are now, how confident they feel, and what they might need to work on a little more to be absolutely sure of their conjugation skills.

LATIN FOR CHILDREN BEGINNER LATIN NUMBERS & ROMAN NUMERALS 0-20 10 differentiated word searches with answer keys focusing on Latin Numbers & Roman Numerals 0-20 ideal for beginner Latin learners of all ages - I’ve found that word searches are the ideal activity for young and beginner students of Latin to engage with the written word in Latin, at the same time developing essential beginner Latin vocabulary. They are easily differentiated - and the grids have an increasing level of challenge, to ensure that all students can feel confident about their learning - and lots of chances to keep challenging themselves. The word searches are really versatile, and I use them in lots of different contexts, such as starter and refresher activities, fun-time fillers, sub lessons, or free-choice activity at any time during the school year. There are 5 Latin to Latin grids, where learners are prompted with the Latin words, and look for them in Latin in the grid. For additional consolidation, each grid also features an English word list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test. Grid 5 increases the challenge by prompting the Latin numbers as gap fills. There are 2 English to Latin grids, where the prompt words are given in English, and learners have to find the Latin equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing in Latin, they also complete the Latin word list on each page. Grid 8 is also Latin to Latin, where learners have to make a simple calculation in order to establish what Latin word they are looking for in the grid, and again they write out the Latin number in a separate column. Grids 9 & 10 prompt with Roman Numerals, and learners also complete the word column in Latin.
There is an answer grid for each word search, and this is essential for helping students develop more independence in their learning - they also give students an additional opportunity to engage with the target language, and are a great teacher time-saver too, which is always a good thing!

MATH CENTER NUMBERS 0-100 WORD SEARCHES
MATH CENTER NUMBERS 0-100 Ten differentiated word searches with answer keys a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practicing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, focusing on Numbers 0-100, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The searches offer a really useful learning opportunity - enabling learners to engage with the target numbers vocabulary, but also aligning with cross-curricular learning - working on comprehension and arithmetic skills in general.
Learners are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. As they move through the grids, their skills are challenged in a range of ways - from straightforward vocabulary searching, to gap-fill, scrambled letters and sentence questions, which feature mathematical language. Hyphens are really important in English numbers, and the grids feature these quite clearly, in order to ensure that learners can practice this aspect of language.
There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it. For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus!
There is a single word search per page, portrait format. I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners—and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable.
There are two formats to choose from - the search grids and answer keys as separate worksheets, and also a file with both grids and answer keys together, so that you can print each grid and key double-sided, according to which suits your classroom needs better.

MATH CENTER NUMBERS 0-10 WORD SEARCHES
MATH CENTER NUMBERS 0-10 ACTIVITIES -ideal for math centers and independent learning. Word searches a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practicing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. The set features five differentiated word searches, focusing on high-frequency words : Numbers 0-10, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The searches offer a really useful learning opportunity - consolidating not only new words and vocabulary (numbers), but also working on reading, writing, spelling and literacy skills in general.
Learners are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. For additional consolidation, they also rewrite each number in the word column. There are also two question and answer key grid templates for learners to create their own searches for each other — this is a really popular activity, and I’ve found that my learners often like to create grids for family at home too. The templates enable learners to apply their language practically and creatively, which is really important at this stage of literacy development.
There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus!
The word searches are in landscape format, mirroring the common direction of reading and writing from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. The landscape format is also really useful for learners whose first language is written from right to left. There is a single grid per 8.5 x 11 (A4) sheet - I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners - and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable.

ENGLISH FRUITS FLASHCARDS POSTERS
EFL ESL English Fruits Flashcards Posters These English fruits flashcards / posters create an instant introduction to 25 fruits in English in the classroom. They are perfect for developing English language and literacy skills, really getting the most from classroom display. They introduce learners to a range of fruits in English from the very beginning of their learning, and they are able to familiarize themselves with both the ‘look’ of English words, and how sounds are represented in the written form.
There are 25 fruits in either the singular or plural form using the definite article. Looking at language, and the ways it works, either similarly to, or differently from, other languages learners may already know, or are learning, helps them become implicitly aware of linguistic concepts. This is really useful for both current and later learning. It doesn’t matter if some of the fruits don’t feature in your immediate or even longer-term learning plan: the posters provide learners with daily opportunities to engage with the written word, to develop their recognition and recall of individual words, to identify cognates, and to begin to link spelling with sound in English. They also help learners begin to work out the meaning of new and unknown words from visual clues or prompts. Along the way, learners can suggest other fruits to add to the display, and may even choose to try some fruits they haven’t tasted before.
The fruits are:
green apples * red apple * bananas * cherries * dates * fig *
green grapes * red grapes * kiwi * lemon * mango * nectarine * olives * oranges * papaya * peach * * pear * pineapple * pumpkin * raspberry * redcurrants * rhubarb * starfruit * * strawberries * watermelon *
There are two backgrounds to choose from: the England flag, which I often use for English vocabulary display, or black wave. Laminate them if possible, or print on card stock, particularly if you’re going to use them as flashcards to introduce and practice language too: they’ll hang really nicely, stay in good shape, and you’ll be able to recycle your fruits posters for many years to come!

FRENCH NUMBERS 0-21 WORD WALL FREEBIE
FSL FLE FRENCH FOR CHILDREN PRIMARY FRENCH IMMERSION NUMBERS 0-21 WORD WALL It’s easy to create an instant introduction to French Numbers 0-21 with this set of word wall cards, featuring beginning numbers that I like to share with my young learners of French. They’re really useful during the introduction phase, and we also use them for developing language skills and awareness in general. We like to do number guessing and calculation games at regular intervals too.
There are two cards per 8.5 x 11 (A4) page in landscape format - the words are definitely big enough for children to be able to read - we do lots of guessing and mental math games, using these as a visual prompt. Although I tend to get my students to prepare the word wall header, I’ve included one here, as we often have both on our wall. There are two backgrounds to choose from - French flag or black wave. The cards to look great in color, but are still really nice if you prefer to print in B&W to keep costs down. I definitely recommend that you print on card stock and/or laminate as it’s definitely worth the extra prep time and expense. The word wall cards hang really nicely, and they remain in excellent condition for a long time, so you’ll be able to use the***French Numbers Word Wall*** for years.

ENGLISH TELLING TIME HALF PAST LIST FREEBIE
ESL EFL ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN BEGINNER ENGLISH TELLING TIME ANALOG HALF PAST THE HOUR LIST WITH MATCHING CLOCK FACES I like to give visual vocabulary lists to my young beginner learners of English, as they can generally more easily assimilate new language and vocabulary when they are able to link it in their memory with a visual image, and it’s particularly important to match a clock time with the corresponding clock face when learning how to tell time. Students glue the lists into their English vocabulary books, or file them in their English vocabulary folders with other vocabulary lists, which gives them an accessible and useful English vocabulary reference bank for both class and home learning.
For young and / or beginner English learners, I focus initially on a single time set, and this list shows half past the hour on a single page. This is because in my experience students benefit from a very clear outline of new language and vocabulary, avoiding lots of text on a single page - even my older students who are completely new to English prefer this. When I’m sure that students are confident with a particular time set, I then move on to additional time sets.
There are two backgrounds to choose from - England flag, which I use for English vocabulary display, or plain.
